Naturally dogsledding is all about the dogs and so the first thing to do after your arrival at the kennel in Åre, is to get to know your four legged companions. Just make sure those heavy love bugs don‘t topple you over and lick you all over your face.
You will also get to see how I live. Which is living in a Lavvo, close and with my dogs.
We will get the dogs in the teams and then head out into nature. Enjoying the ride and I will give you all the infos you want to have about living with those amazing dogs.
Half way into the run we will stop, have a camp fire, warm liquids and snacks with plenty of time with the dogs. After the tour, we will put the dogs back into their kennels and keep on enjoy my puppies company :)

I grew up as an ordinary Berlin city boy with no intention living in the outdoors. But after I got my first Sleddog from a shelter, explored the outdoors more and more, I moved to Sweden and eventually even Svalbard. That was 9 years ago and since then I am living a simple lifestyle with my dogs.

Currently I call 9 Alaskan Malamutes my family and we are living between Åre and Svalbard.

Really awesome guide and very knowledgeable of his trade. If you want an authentic experience into sledge dog lifestyle then Philip knows all about it and is living it himself. Warmly recommend!

Paws down the best experience we could have asked for!! He was so helpful even came to pick us up when our car got stuck a few meters away from the location. The cozy fire side snack was perfect and his stories are fun! Let me borrow a jacket and showed us tips on how to keep warm during the travel. And don’t even get me started on the pups they were all so beautiful and friendly. We will be back again for sure!!

One of the most beautiful experiences that I have done so far. Phillipp is super careful and has a lot of respect for nature, his dogs and his clients. Highly recommended, we could know more about his life and see his way of life. He is an amazing person and with a very good heart.

The dog sled ride was exciting and unusual. We already had experience of such a trip, but this trip is absolutely not like a tourist one. It was a meeting with nature alone, frosty silence and no one nearby. Coffee at the fire in the snow was great. Phillip is an interesting storyteller, has his own point of view on nature and life. he has complete understanding with his lovely dogs. We wish you good luck in fulfilling your dreams.

The dog sledge tour was a great adventure, suitable for everybody who likes real nature. It was very traditional and not touristy, you had a ' away from it all' feeling. You go with a large greenland style sledge ( you sit on it with the guide), on the lake and stop somewhere to make a fire and some drinks/ snacks. Take verry warm cloth and ski gogles if the wind blows ( Philipp also has two verry super jackets which are great, but still put warm cloth on). You are in the open wild. We saw also reindeer, no Moose, but they are around. Philipp our guide is a very professional guide how travelled around the world and already been on the north pole with his dogs. The dogs are lovely, they jump on jou and are very sweet, I also helped philipp with unleashing the dogs. Tour took 3 hours which is great. Philipp, thank you for this experience, good luck with your next adventures!

Not professional. It didn't feel safe. He cut a tree out of the blue. The trip was short and not interesting. He was more interested in talking with one of us instead of both (even turning his back at one of us). The dogs didn't follow his commands that good. The toilet was pretty bad and it was an overall bad experience. Not recommended to anybody.
