What you'll do
Each workshop begins with a yoga sequence for energetic flow. We then move into meditative yoga postures interspersed with visual artistic expression in the form of drawing which offers insights into the state of our bodies and minds. The session concludes with an introduction to a traditional art form and the creation of a craft piece. Art, yoga, crafts and teaching pieces on how all three merge are interwoven throughout. The workshop is accompanied by music, essential oils and energetic cleansing and lasts 2 hours.
With Degrees in Fine Arts, Architecture, Traditional Arts and Architectural Conservation, along with over 20 years of yoga practice, I have spent years exploring various art and design forms, their historic roots and how they integrate with the different forms of yoga. I completed the Art and Yoga teacher training with Hari Kirin Khalsa at the Kripalu Centre in Massachusetts, U.S.A. My workshops focus on the healing benefits of combining Art and Yoga with traditional craft forms in order to become aware of, reconnect with and integrate all parts of ourselves with the natural world, allowing for emotional and physical release and creative inspiration.
Where you'll be
The sessions will take place at yoga and wellness studios in the Plateau and Mile End districts of Montreal
