About The Rock Pool Project - operational name of People Power Science CIC Ltd

The aim of the Rock Pool Project is to empower us all to improve our relationship with the marine environment by connecting science and education. We are passionate about bringing the joy of marine wildlife to everyone, in a manner that builds on our collective understanding of our precious Cornish marine natural heritage.
This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to The Rock Pool Project - operational name of People Power Science CIC Ltd. .

What we’ll do

Your rock pool project activity will be run by your own expert marine biologist, who is currently active in academic research. The sessions are designed to be fun and bring our coastal ecosystems to life by teaching you about the amazing wildlife that lives there. You will also play an important role in the research aspect of the overall project and the species you discover will be photographed,…

What else you should know

You don't need any prior knowledge to take part in these activities and they are suitable for complete beginners through to experts. Walking through the rock beach environment can be challenging so please let us know if you have any health or mobility concerns,

What I’ll provide

Snacks
We are able to provide food for lunch or snacks for an additional charge We can also recommend local options for food.
Car
We are happy to book transport to the site from your accommodation, and back, for an additional charge.
Outdoor gear
We can provide wellington boots for an additional charge or we do have some that you are welcome to borrow for free although not all sizes are available.

What to bring

Clothing suitable for the conditions.
Sturdy footwear, e.g. wellies, boots or trainers that you are happy to get wet.
A bottle of water.

Where you'll be

The coastline of Cornwall has a huge amount of incredible rock pooling opportunities, some of the best in the world. We are able to run our activities at a large number of spectacular Cornish sites.

Things to keep in mind

Cancellation policy

Any experience can be canceled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase, or at least 7 days before the experience starts.

Communication policy

Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside of the Airbnb website or app.

Guest requirements

Up to 8 guests ages 5 and up can attend. Parents may also bring children under 2 years of age.
