What you'll do

This is the ultimate combination tour! First, we will paddleboard around the calm waters of Maracas Bay in Manuel Antonio. Then, we will head south to discover hidden waterfall gems of the Central Pacific! This truly unique tour will take us to several hidden waterfall gems, which are located south of Quepos. We will stop at 3 different waterfalls all of which can be interacted with. All offer beautiful scenery for photography, you will be able to swim behind waterfalls and in water pools. Please keep in mind that swimming is NOT mandatory, if you would just like to enjoy the setting and scenery that is fine and just as enjoyable. We will also visit one of our favorite beaches in the area, with a breath taking backdrop and caves that lead out to the ocean. We will also stop and have lunch at a restaurant located in the jungle. This is truly a unique experience that gives you a true feel of Costa Rica.

Hey there! We are Matt and Brian, and we used to work together in finance. We both fell in love with Costa Rica on separate trips to the country, but somehow both ended up living here and starting one of the first paddle-boarding businesses in all of Costa Rica! On our time off, we would explore the country as much as we could, with one of our favorite activities being waterfall hopping. As we expanded our knowledge of the little-known waterfall gems of Costa Rica, many of the tourists would ask us to show them personally. This naturally progressed to hosting some of the most unique waterfall tours in the country. We love to show tourists the “off the beaten path” side of Costa Rica, and look forward to sharing the beauty of this country with you!

This experience was truly a once in a lifetime adventure. Brian and his team were beyond welcoming and even went out of their way to accommodate our special travel arrangements. The paddle boarding location in the morning is exquisite. The water color is vibrant green and wonderfully warm. It was really fun to learn about Quepos as we paddleboarded around. Then, we visited some of the most scenic waterfalls in a tucked away paradise. I would never have found these waterfalls own as a visitor without experience of the area. The whole paddle 9 team taught us how to slide down waterfalls and go cliff jumping and even made clay masks using the fresh clay in the rivers. The lunch provided was also delicious! I will be returning to Costa Rica soon just to go on this experience again. The paddle9 team is fun, kid-friendly, experienced and all around amazing!
