What you'll do
We’ll introduce ourselves, put our aprons on and get started on the shortbread pastry for our traditional festive sweet mince pies and a whisky butter to accompany them. While the pastry and butter chill we’ll make the filling then assemble the pies and taste a wee dram of the whisky that we use. While they bake we’ll make some mulled wine for festive cheer! When the pies come out the oven we’ll eat them with the mulled wine to wash it down. Chatting about festive celebrations in Scotland and around the world... or whatever we like! There may be a pie or 2 to take with you!

I'm a fully qualified professional chef from Edinburgh, I've travelled and worked abroad, but have been back in Edinburgh for 10 years. I love to showcase the ingredients from Scotland and teach local dishes and bakes from my home production kitchen in a traditional tenement flat in Marchmont. I have found hosting Airbnb experiences truly satisfying, meeting the guests being my favourite part! Baking tasty treats and eating together is my pleasure. Please check out some of my other cooking experiences in Edinburgh if you'd like to try something unique and tasty.

You’ll visit Marchmont a beautiful neighbourhood south of the city centre. Marchmont is on the edge of the Meadows park and is known for it’s stunning architecture and funky shops, cafes and eateries. My Victorian apartment is on an iconic Marchmont street with large enclosed back gardens.
