What you'll do
My air-conditioned minibuses (custom-made to carry max 6 guests – other people squeeze up to 12 into the same space) will transfer us from your accommodation to Tulamben Bay on Bali’s north east coast (2.5-3hrs).
When we arrive at our lovely Day Trip base, I’ll point out the showers, toilets, pool, and cafe, and we’ll pre-order our lunch.
I’ll then demonstrate how to use snorkelling gear and the correct technique for using fins (to use minimal energy!), and we’ll walk down the beach, and into the water. You can go at your own pace, there is no pressure to hurry - I’m extremely patient!
The 120 metre USAT Liberty Shipwreck lies on a slope, only 20-30 metres from the shore. The wreck is totally encrusted with hard and soft corals, and home to a phenomenal mixture of marinelife. You can expect to see clownfish (Nemo and family), octopus, turtles, maybe seahorses, the list is very long!
You can go in and out of the water as often as you like until you’re ready for lunch, then shower and we’ll head back south – it’s an Amazing Day Out!
Other things to note
You don't need to be able to swim but it helps :-)
We need: Height, weight, shoe size; nationality. Exact accommodation location!
Inc: Land transport; snorkelling gear; English-speaking guide (PADI Professional); day trip medical insurance; towel; lunch & water; all local taxes, fees & porterage.

I qualified as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor over 20 years ago. I am the founder and full-time owner-operator of AquaMarine Diving - Bali (established in 1999 - also 20+ years ago!).
My original concept was to plan trips as I would want arrangements made for me were I a visitor to Bali, and my philosophy of individual attention continues today. My focus is to provide both high quality service and the best possible experience for guests, offering programmes to suit each person’s interests, experience and preferences. Attention to detail is my strong point!

Where you'll be
On your journey from south Bali to Tulamben, you will travel through beautiful Balinese countryside, past rice terraces, along coastlines and through rural villages with great views of Mt Agung (Bali’s most revered volcano).
Tulamben Village is small. The population relies on the income from diving and snorkelling tourists.

John was truly the sweetest!! We had never been snorkeling before and he was patient and taught us the ropes so we could truly enjoy our experience. We had some motion sickness and he was still patient and tried to assist as best as he could. He gave some suggestions on what we could do to feel better. He was amazing! But besides that he was personable and experienced. The shipwreck was beautiful! It was truly something I would do again and hopefully not get motion sickness! Thank you John for everything and for such a wonderful first time snorkeling experience (:
