What you'll do

If you're looking to see the urban side of Osaka, you've come to the right place! We'll go the 2 central districts of Osaka, Nanba and Umeda and explore the different things they offer there. The goal is to complete Osaka "city" in one day! The meeting location is Nipponbashi station exit number 7. We'll start the day by eating one of Osaka's local dishes, the Takoyaki, so be sure to come hungry! After that we'll going to visit all the different districts in Nanba! - Kuromon Market, Japan's 2nd largest fish market! - Den den town, Osaka's version of Akihabara Electric district! - Dotonbori, the popular district full of street food and picturesque places! - Shinsaibashi, the fashion focused shopping street - American Village! According to some american its not quite american. You be the judge! After that we head to Umeda where we'll go to places like the Pokemon Center, and a lot of unique places and spots to sightsee! We'll finish the day by having an all-you-can-eat sukiyaki! (sukiyaki is a sweet soup dish with veggies and meat on it)! I plan to make this a casual tour, where you can stop by and shop around the places we visit along the way!

I'm an international student studying at a Japanese University. Most people come to Japan to visit the shrines, but they tend to forget Japan's urban side is also one of, if not the most fascinating part of the country itself. I'm here to show you places that surprised me when I first visited it. I'm here to take you to the places where you can satisfy your cravings for shopping and pop culture. I'm here to show you the appeals of the places where you can visit again and again without getting bored. Last, but definitely not least, I'm here to introduce you to the best food cost-performance-wise in Osaka.
