What you'll do

The trailride begins approximately 1 hour before sunset. You will leave for the excursion en route to the mountaintop lookout over the appalacian range. First, each client is matched with a horse according to their size and experience. You will have an occasion to establish a mutual confidence with your horse during the brushing and other preparations. Once everyone has their helmet on, we depart the stable for the paddocks. Once mounted and with stirrups adjusted, we give a short lesson on riding techniques. The enclosed paddock is the ideal place for each rider to test what they've learned about horseback riding. After the initiation, we leave for an excursion over the magnificent country trail. At the halfway point, we will stop at mountaintop lookout to admire the beautiful view. The activity ends with showing appreciation to our horse for the lovely ride. Consider trying our other animal experiences with alpacas, dogs and the other inhabitants of our educational farm.

Learn more about Sandra & Jürg

Sandra & Jürg

Both of us, Sandra and Jürg Willi, are passionate about horseback riding and experts in natural equine behaviour. Prior to immigrating to Canada, we founded and operated an equine centre in Switzerland, with 70 students per week. Having followed numerous courses and seminars in Switzerland and Canada, we have the expertise necessary for offering an activity which is both interesting and safe. The well-being of our horses is primordial for us! Our approach and our horseback riding techniques are 100% ethical and our horses live free range, which keeps them happy and well balanced. The horses work for short periods of time each day and are then replaced by other rested ones. Our older horses have a guaranteed retirement with us and we are a certified Galahad shelter.
