What you'll do

The jungle awaits ~

◇ I'll guide us from town (20 minutes) down to the magical Red Road of Puna. Along our way you’ll spot numerous fruit trees and jungle canopies and unremarkable ocean views

> Our first hike to the coast uncovers multiple natural pools to entice the toes, a hidden coconut grove, caves and lava tubes!

>> Next, the 2018 lava flow took out the pohoiki boat launch but we were blessed with geothermal heated pools that are hard to pass up even on a sunny day!

>>> Last and certainly my favorite. No tour would be complete without a trek down a secret jungle trail that leads us to our own personal sandy beach! Rough waters so don’t expect to swim here without perfect conditions but I guarantee it’s beauty will be sure to take your breath away!

••• I’ll provide a variety of locally sourced fruits. Some of which I grew and harvested myself!

••• I recommend bringing footwear. However, I’ve lived out here for a while now and prefer going barefoot. I won’t judge if you don’t ;)

My wife and I got to experience a personal tour from Isiah, and were blown away by his friendliness, knowledge, and expertise. We learned about Hawaiian history, lore, and traditions while being shown some of Isiah’s favorite beautiful locations. He was flexible and accommodating, and went the extra mile to make sure we got the most out of our trip. We expected a tour guide, and walked away with a friend. Isaiah is extremely friendly and easy going. He knows a lot about this island and the history behind it. His heart is definitely in his work. The tour was easy going and laid back. My husband and I definitely learned a few things.

Our adventure with Isiah was a highlight while in Hawaii. He adapted our day together based on specific group interest while taking into consideration things already seen/done while on the island. We ended up with a custom exploration that couldn't have been experienced without his lead and exuberance. You will learn about the island culture, as well and information about local fish and vegetation. We also enjoyed the delicious fresh fruit and drinks he brought along. I definitely recommend this experience.

I wholeheartedly second all the positive reviews about the experience below offered by Isaiah. Four and a half hours flew by without me realizing it - one magic hike followed another, followed by a thermal pond followed by a visit to the 2018 kava flow fields, followed by a magic Nicoco gelato stop. I am so happy that this experience is not the only one offered by Isaiah. I definitely need more of the magic in my life.

I highly recommend this adventure with Isiah. He is very knowledgable about the island, plants, fruits and how this island is evolving. He was very easy to meet up with and communicate. I enjoyed chatting with him. He is the real deal! Make sure you ask him about other tours he offers like the volcano national park tour. You wont regret booking this special experience! :)

Isiah was the best guide we could of asked for. He took us to some secluded spots that we would of never found by ourselves otherwise. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the area, plants, fish, and Hawaiian customs. We enjoyed our tour of the jungle and lava tubes so much that we booked a second tour with him the next day to check out the Volcanoes National Park. Don’t think twice and book this experience with Isiah! I promise you, you won’t regret it! :)
