What you'll do

During this workshop we will each create a unique Berlin-specific phototransfer to take away. This is a technique in which a printed photograph can be transferred onto a wide variety of mediums - in the workshop you will have the option of paper, wood, canvas, or a canvas bag. We will take photos at a nearby historical site (former border point between east and west) to create our artwork (although it is also possible to choose from one´s own archive of photos already taken of Berlin, or a range of motifs I have at my studio). Each participant will choose a photograph and a pictorial support on which to transfer it.
This is a creative based workshop with a hint of local history.
Other things to note
- Please note: the purpose of this experience is to create our own, unique, beautiful piece, and I will be keeping some artist secrets to myself.
- If being outside is REALLY impossible (heavy rain, storm, etc) I will message the group and we will meet directly at my studio.

Where you'll be

We will meet directly at the former border point between east and west, where we will talk a bit about Berlin, the wall and the area. The site offers interesting views for a photo opportunity, which will feed into our creation later.
However, if it is impossible to be outside (storm, heavy rain, etc.) we will meet and stay at my studio, where you can choose from my photo archive of Berlin, or your own. In this case I would message the group.

Ah!! Nadia es encantadora..., un 10!!

Great experience! We met at the Böse Brücke, a former border crossing point and I learned from Nadia that it actually was the first point where the Berlin Wall was opened in 1989. We looked around the place and took pictures there and then went back to Nadia's art studio where I was fascinated by her numerous paintings - really nice artworks... :) For the foto transfers themselves she offered a variety of options on what to transfer your foto to and I went with the canvas. The process was super fun and rewarding as you could see the picture appear on the canvas. Nadia was really nice and took great care of her guests (I can recommend the Yogi Tea 😀). All in all time well spent, thanks Nadia!
