What you'll do
We start the day with a welcome drink alike: presenting the new caretakers to the dogs for a day, breaking the ice. It's easy, dogs are the warmest welcome committee there is! The first activity outside the Day Care, is a first walk in one of the two main green spaces in the neighborhood, Jardim da Estrela, built in 1852, one of the biggest gardens in Lisbon with a pleasant café and a huge variety of unique trees and plants and a place that every dog owner knows, or Tapada das Necessidades, and exotic garden, that even most Lisboetas don’t know about. Beautiful grounds and palace peeling pink paint and old tiles, an incredible cactus garden and birds and cats. If we opt for a city walk around Campo de Ourique, our cartier, we'll get across an iconic part of the city:a residential neighborhood designed with a grid of streets, a mix of beautiful late-19th-century buildings and art nouveau. It’s known as a pleasant neighborhood to live in, holding on to traditional shopping and its old market. It´s on the way of tram 28’s last stop, always recommend tourists. The rest of the day is a repeat of the main activities: dog walking, giving them their food and treats for good behavior and training activities and delivering them to the owners in a happy and emotional happy day for us Dá-me Trela! staff, our guest visits, owners and most important: the paw gang, the dogs!

I'm the founder of the first Portuguese Dog Day Care, specially conceived for the urban owner and pet. As of my 1st experience as a little dog caretaker, I've faced the same issues and doubts as any other dog owner. With a degree in Social Sciences it was not hard to find the similarities between a baby dog, his need for developing social skills and training. And that's how Dá-me Trela! was born. Placed in one of Lisbon's most iconic neighborhoods, with a huge window shop that allows passerby's to see what happens inside and dogs, what's happening outside, surrounded by two of the main gardens is town, Jardim da Estrela and Tapada das Necessidades, we invite travelers to take part in an immersive experience: dog walking is a great way to know the area, giving food and treats and a lot of playing around. Their language is universal!
Treats for share with the dogs.

Where you'll be
Consider the dog as an expert tour guide. Following smells in the most interesting green spaces around Campo de Ourique and Estrela: Jardim da Estrela e Tapada das Necessidades and following urban trails in a typical lisbon neighborhood, dogs fowling other dogs and introducing owners, sharing experiences and making new friends each corner. There's no better way to get to know as a dog owner, the neighborhood with more dogs in Lisbon.
