What you'll do
This is a traditional Portugese cooking class. Although small in size, Portugal has a rich and varied gastronomy, based on the Mediterranean diet but with several influences. Back in the days we, the Portuguese, brought spices and sugar back from their trips which were rapidly incorporated in our cuisine. In this Cooking Class you will learn how to prepare traditional Portuguese dishes based upon typical recipes. The menu´s I create are always seasonal and with high quality and typical local products. We will cook a delicious four course meal: appetizer, first course, main course and dessert. After the class we will sit around a big dining table and enjoy a well deserved meal together with the dishes you prepared, paired with Portuguese wines from demarcated regions. I will send the recipes to you after the experience, so that you can take home the memories of the city and prepare a Typically Portuguese Meal for your friends and family. Surprise them with a gastronomy trip without leaving the house. I cannot wait to welcome you!

Devoting almost 20 years to banking and insurance industry, I decided to change my life and devote myself to what really gives me pleasure after all these years. My passion for traditional Portuguese cuisine and in welcoming friends has led me to dedicate the past amazing years to acquiring knowledge and studying gastronomy. It is as a Chef at Cook in Ribeira that I am delighted to welcome everyone who wants to participate in an hands-on Portuguese cooking class and want to learn more about our life costumes, the real taste of Porto! Sometimes we have with us a well known Chef In Portugal, who loves to share is experience at Cook in Ribeira.
