What you'll do

We will begin with a gentle walk around the Reservoir before hiking up onto the moors to experience the beautiful views and the ancient relics and standing stones there. We will then return through some woodland and fields back to the start. The whole walk will be 3-3.5hrs. We will meet at Fernworthy Reservoir for the start of the walk and navigate the mountains, moors or forests for a perfect hiking day out. Dartmoor can be a little tricky to navigate and explore, especially in a short period of time. I have been coming here for several years and have discovered so many wonderful places that I would love to share.

Tansy

I am passionate about the outdoors and encouraging everyone and anyone to get out into nature for easy/hard, long/short hikes. The motivation is really in sharing the beautiful landscape we have in Dartmoor & showing how everyone can access it, love it and have a wonderful time exploring it. I am a trained mountain leader, lived in the Alps for 5 years & spent 3 years in military training while at University so I have a lot of experience of being in the outdoors & of being in challenging environments but these walks will Aim to be very accessible to all and not more challenging than you would want them to be. The point is to have a wonderful day. There are flat walks, hilly walks, wild swimming walks & so many more so each trip can be tailored specifically to meet the guests needs. I am enthusiastic, active and positive.

Where you'll be

We will visit a beautiful reservoir, walk up into the moors to reach the summit of a tor for views, we will then navigate our way to the ancient standing stones and stone circles in this area, we will then return to the reservoir through woodland and fields.
