What you'll do
We’ll start by having a drink together in my workshop. We’ll talk about special effects and look at my work to show you what the possibilities are. I’ll explain what materials we could use and show you the options. Then we’ll try making a wound, warts or scars ourselves. I’ll show and tell, and then coach you through making them from scratch. You can take your creation home, of course. My goal is to share my TV and movie effects passion with you and give you tips and tricks on how to create a stunning special effect. For those of you that don't feel like staying inside and be creative with bodyparts I offer another experience: A food tour with historical facts about Amsterdam and those dam Dutch. To book it, here is the link: https://www.airbnb.nl/experiences/890375
Being this creative is both a blessing and a curse. Once I get inspired, there is no sleeping until the idea is laid out. It was nurtured by my parents and grandparents. I love series and films that have special effects in them, like Hocus Pocus but also Harry Potter or Santa Clarita Diet. I love not only the blood and gore but also the scales and horns in fantasy stories. I have studied how these effects are made and have mastered the techniques. I love to share my skills with people and show them how they too can quickly create the most amazing effects and wow their friends and family.

Where you'll be
We’ll be at my studio, where I live and work on my creations as an artist. The house itself is a tourist attraction because of the 27 colors it's painted in, and for all the art that is displayed. The house is located in the city center of Amsterdam.
