What you'll do
We will set off from Sanremo, following the hidden trails that lead you into the mountains. Along the way, we wind our way up the mountains taking in snippets of views over the coastline of Sanremo across the Mediterranean sea. On a clear day, you can even see Corsica.
As we get higher, the hike becomes more rugged and we hike through dense forest on trails that almost seem secret. At the very top of Monte Bignone (1299m), you can find yourself above the cloud line with some really special views out to sea!
Other things to note
Any questions, please ask.

Kat and Gavin are founders of AmiciBici cycle tours in Liguria, we know the mountains extremely well!
While we are avid road cyclists we also love to run and hike and have discovered the hidden trails around the mountains heading up from Sanremo. We also have a superb local knowledge of Liguria, the cote d'Azure and Riviera di Fiori.
We're from England but also speak some Italian and Spanish .

Where you'll be
The hike starts straight out of the old town and we pass through several intersting land marks, such as the sanctuary of the Madonna della costa, San Giacamo, San Romolo and finally onto the Chiesa del Monte Bignone before we return to Sanremo.
The route is steep. Some parts are well paved and there is a small amount of road walking. The section up to the summit (Monte Bignone) is a tough hike on steep and rugged terrain.
