What you'll do
We will begin the session with pranayama, breathing to focus inwardly. I teach a special mudra, or hand gesture, to go along with the breathing. Following we will start some simple asanas, postures, to warm up. We then move into vinyasa, flow yoga. I usually start with a basic 'sun salutation' which I learned in India. After vinyasa flow, we will practice the standing postures for balance. The session will conclude with stretching and complete relaxation in 'savasana' on the floor.
I have been practicing yoga my entire life, but actively teaching it for 15 years. You will practice vinyasa flow yoga is this session; which is an excellent all-around work out of stretching, balance, strength and even cardio. My training was mostly at West Seattle Yoga Center, but I have also studied with Baron Baptiste, Shiva Rae, and Ana Forrest. I also was fortunate to study in India at the Vijnana Kala Vedi Cultural Centre. I have lived abroad and taught yoga in Kuwait, Curacao, and South Africa. Here in Hawaii I have incorporated the Ho'oponopono ritual of forgiveness into my teaching.
Where you'll be
The yoga practice will be held in my home in Mountain View, Fern Forest subdivision, near Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. We will practice yoga on a large lanai surrounded by rainforest.

You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.
No experience is necessary before attending this yoga session. We will move at your own pace, making modifications to fit the practice to you.
