I am local musician in Boston and owner of Soundscape Tours (www.soundscape-tours.com) I moved here in 2007 to join a band and have played in some of the best (and dingiest) venues in town! I believe the best way to experience a city is through its music. My goal is to promote Boston’s music scene through celebrating the city’s significant impact on jazz, folk, and rock and roll in the 20th century. Whether you’re a longtime resident or visitor, I hope my tour inspires you to check out Boston bands and support live music in Boston and beyond.

I would highly recommend this tour! I gifted this tour to my bf for Christmas as we are newer to the Boston area and he has a passion for music. Matt did not disappoint - he was insightful and was able to share interesting facts! Just what I was hoping for

Matt is extremely knowledgeable in his history of rock and Boston, and you can see the enthusiasm in his voice when he tells it to you. Great tour of historic locations around Fenway and Back Bay, and allowed us to visit places we never thought to go in before (and we live in Boston). Highly recommended tour that isn’t your typical historic tour of Boston.

Matt was a super knowledgeable host! He gave us a really interesting look at how Boston played a part in the careers of some of the best jazz, folk, punk, and rock and roll artists. It was a reasonable amount of walking through some scenic parts of Boston. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to learn more about Boston’s musical history!

Matt conveys a ton of music history that we had never heard of (and we live not too far away, but it turns out don’t know much about Boston music history!). The content was well-curated and interesting. Great for tourists or people who live locally. Excellent walking tour of Boston sites too in Fenway/Back Bay. Thanks, Matt!
