What you'll do

This is the best way for "forest bathing" in Tokyo.

In this experience, we will go to Takao mountain.
it is located an hour’s train ride from Shinjuku.

And we will;
1) Hike at the most popular mountain in the world (Takao mountain, 599m)
2) Visit beautiful and historical Buddhist Temples and Shinto Shrines in the mountain (Over 1300 history)
3) Take baths at one of the best Onsen (hot springs) in Japan
4) Eat lunch at the wonderful Japanese traditional style restaurant

This experience is just same how Tokyo people enjoy in the nature, when we are off.
And if you are lucky(if the whether is fine), we may see "Mt. Fuji" from "Mr. Takao".
But even it's cloudy, we may see nice mysterious fog.

And plus, this is the most important point of this experience. Through this experiences, you can enjoy not only sightseeing, but you may learn our society, custom, culture, history, beauty, life style, etiquette, table manner, background, and way of thinking!

After this experience, I recommend the followings.

Jun is a thoughtful and attentive guide on a beautiful hike and relaxing onsen experience. I learned that hiking Mt Takao is a favorite activity of all Tokyo-ites, and it was great to do this alongside the locals. Jun gave very interesting insight into the culture and history of the mountain, it’s temples, and Japanese culture in general. A wonderful experience!

Jun was a gentle and caring host who made everyone in the group feel welcome. He had lots of knowledge about Japanese culture and the little momentos he gave us were an added bonus. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day with views of Mt Fuji. All in all, it was a great experience and one that I would definitely recommend for other travelers to Japan.

This was a really wonderful experience. The hiking was easy to medium, and the best part was Jun’s knowledge of the area and how he shared this with us. He was a great host, genuinely friendly and extremely knowledgeable. 100% recommended

There are many beautiful shrines and Temples too. Not forgetting the onsen experience after a hike was really relaxing. Thank you, Jun-San for such a wonderful experience
