What you'll do
We will be touring one of the last remaining pristine salt marshes in South Florida! See more wildlife and avoid the heat of the day with this gorgeous early hike. We begin the hike by admiring a wide variety of lush tropical vegetation in a uplands system while learning about the local history. We then hike south, over primitive trails, we will explore a series of fresh water lakes from boardwalk overlooks. We will end with an immersive exploration of an expansive salt marsh where , invertebrates, butterflies, and wading birds are plentiful.
I am a certified Florida Master Naturalist and am working towards Interpretive Guide certification through NAI. I have volunteered extensively with environmental organizations throughout the Southwest Florida for over 5 years and through doing so, Ive learned a variety of information through several different perspectives. I am also an amateur birder and botanist with tons of enthusiasm! Conservation through education is my goal when connecting folks with the natural world.
