What you'll do

★ Explore Bangkok like no one else ★

Let's meet at 9.30 a.m. and take a boat from Sathorn Pier. Then, we will walk along on the Memorial Bridge where you can see the beautiful panorama of Thonburi (the previous capital of Thailand).

We will go to the Kudi Chin Community, where 3 religious communities (Buddhist, Christian and Muslim) live together. To get to know more about this community, we will visit the local museum after passing the Portuguese-style Santa Cruz Church. Then, we'll walk to the Chinese Shrine (The Goddess of Mercy) where you can learn Chinese art and culture.

Feel hungry? We will have a local lunch near the church and try some local traditional
food/dessert of the community. Then we'll continue to the Buddhist Thai/Chinese temple named Wat Kalayanamit which means "amity".

Next, we'll go see the Muslim community where you can find the first and only mosque in the world which was built in traditional Thai style! and let's visit Wat Hong Rattanaram, the hidden and peaceful temple of Thonburi.

Before we finish, we should not miss the sacred Royal Buddhist Temple (Wat Arun or The Temple of Dawn). You will see the Prangs in a Khmer style and 2 guardians in front of the gate.

Last but not least, we will take a boat along the Chao Phraya River and send you back to the BTS station. As a historian/social studies teacher, you will get full insight from me

Sa-Was-Dee-Krub (Hello! in Thai). I’m Taro, a co-founder of TakeMeTour. My goal is to host travelers from around the world with the best authentic experience in Thailand like never before (yes, believe me!).

My best co-host (called Pramarn) will take you on this trip. He has grown up seeing many historical places nearby and learned Thai history as his major in university. After graduating, he has been sharing his knowledge to others, as nowadays, many Thais seem to ignore their country's history. So, he continued his master's degree of Education, majoring in Teaching Social Studies.

Then, he became a history teacher in schools and he also had a FB page & a YouTube channel to share his knowledge & passion for those who are interested in history.

Great day, a lot of history of Thailand and religion, the only thing I could recommend is to come in to an agreement about the time of the tour, otherwise it could take a hole day ; ) Thank you for having me.

The guide Taro sent was a really friendly and kind person. The experience was pretty interesting and informative about the culture. The only issue was the language barrier.

This was a fantastic immersion tour. It was wonderful to personally be walked through the communities and told stories that I would have only read about. Pram was so flexible and made me feel comfortable, I appreciated that so much. Great job. I had 2 people with me. Made it super fun.

This tour is fascinating! It is a pleasure to have Pap as my guide, and we explore the interaction and influences between different religions and cultures together. It is amazing to see how those interactions form a community and its signature architectures differently, and it is clear that Pap is an expert of history of Thailand. He applied his knowledge in the tour brilliantly, and those locations he chose were also aesthetically enjoyable. Pap is very open, caring and friendly. Highly recommend!

The tour was great. Pramarn is very knowledgeable of the history and culture of Thonburi and Thailand . The places that we visited were absolutely interesting. We even got access to the thai mosque, which apparently is normally closed, we were very lucky! Thonburi is a great place to visit. It fully illustrates the multicultural aspects of thai culture, people and architecture!, and i am pleased that we have visited it with a local guide. I strongly recommend this tour.
