About your host

James grew up on a 50-acre horse farm in the Salinas Valley and has spent his life around farms and fresh produce. After leaving his day job in advertising and technology in 2009 James launched CookWithJames as a full-time business, offering private sit-down dinners as well as cooking class parties for all occasions. James has lived and cooked in both Spain and Italy.

What we’ll do

Join James for a very special evening of Spanish tapas, culminating in a festive Spanish seafood paella. James' cooking class dinner parties are legendary and like all the best parties everyone congregates in the kitchen, drinking wine, helping prepare and learning about great ingredients and great cooking. CookWithJames – Bring some wine, conversation and curiosity. He’ll do the rest.​

Bring your own wine that you are comfortable sharing with the group.

What I’ll provide

Snacks and Other
Spanish Seafood Paella. Tapas (appetizers) A salad of radicchio, endive, little gems and shaved radishes and a Spanish dessert called La Quesada. Cheese, charcuterie, Padron peppers, etc

What to bring

Optional: wine or other liquor/beverage to drink and share. I provide water and everything else.

Where you'll be

You will cook and dine at James' private residence in the Ashbury Heights neighborhood of SF. His condo is a turn of the century, quintessential vintage Edwardian home. You will prepare all of the food with James in real time.

Communication policy

Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside of the Airbnb website or app.

Guest requirements

Up to 10 guests ages 18 and up can attend.

Government ID

You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.
