What you'll do
STITCHED SHIBORI This can be 1 or 2 days workshops. Stitched Shibori is a Japanese resist dyeing technique which produces unique patterns on fabric. Slow stitching into fabric to create patterns, alongside the pleating and folding techniques of this practice, allows greater control and variation of the patterns. The morning will be spent stitching and the afternoon dyeing. This is a slow process but a rewarding one. You will leave the workshop with your own designs and new knowledge of the methods of Shibori which you can incorporate into any future projects. Stitched Shibori is available all year. Whether you are in the group or come alone, learning these skills will be a fun visual learning experience. Please note that I do have cats and chickens in the garden (should anyone have allergies!). Tea & Coffee and cake available - please bring a packed lunch. Wear suitable clothing it can be messy!
