What you'll do

You will learn how to use cutting tools for glass, ceramic and stone, find out about different types of substrate and adhesives and make a mini mosaic as a practise piece. With a fabulously wide selection of material to choose from, you will have everything at your fingertips to then create a mosaic of your own design. Towards the end of the day, you will get a chance to learn how to grout a mosaic and you will receive a goody bag of useful materials to take away with you, including both mosaics made on the day. It will be small group (usually 4) so that you receive as much help and attention as you need together with plenty of encouragement.

Tracey

I'm a professional self-employed mosaic artist with 30 years experience of delivering workshops and teaching skills in a variety of community settings including my own studio in central Manchester. In addition to my fine art degree, I have trained in a variety of specific mosaic techniques with international experts and I also restore architectural mosaics in Victorian buildings. My commissioned work includes public art mosaics in parks, town centres and community settings.
