On this one day course you will learn how to make a stained glass light catcher. You will draw your design, choose your glass and colours, learn how to cut and grind the glass so it is a perfect finger safe shape. We will then use the copper foil technique to put it all together, solder it into a solid piece, and attach a hook for hanging.

I have been making and teaching stained glass for 25 years and love to share this unique traditional skill. Stained glass is living art as it changes with the day and night light.
You can learn either the traditional leading technique used for hundreds of years, or copper foiling made popular by Tiffany.
You can do a 2 day course in either styles, or why not try the one day taster course where you will make a small light catcher in the coper foil style.

Where you'll be

I have a small studio in a hidden garden in the heart of Frome town centre that even locals are surprised to find. The garden is on the edge the millennial gardens that lead down to the meadow on the Frome river. It is surround by lots of old established trees. We have a kitchen garden full of seasonal fruit and veg and you will be kept company by the local birds who live in our beautiful space.
