What you'll do
*** Please note our maximum weight limit is 90kg and our minimum age is 8 years old - no exceptions will be made ***
We start out by making sure every rider has a helmet that fits for safety, and then we get you comfortably onto a horse that is most suitable for you. If you've never ridden before, we show you how to hold your reins and how to ask your horse to do the basics you'll need for the ride.
We set out on a short 10 minute walk through the farm to the gates of the wildlife sanctuary, where we'll spend the next hour and a bit riding among giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, eland, bontebok, springbuck, gemsbok, waterbuck, kudu and a variety of birdlife, before the return ride back to the farm - a 90 minute ride in total.
In respect to the wildlife in their environment, we are only allowed to go at a walking pace inside the reserve, but for advanced riders who want a bit of a gallop, we do have opportunity once we leave the sanctuary.
Other things to note
- Maximum weight of rider may not exceed 90kg
- Children from 8 years old
-Riders to wear long pants and closed shoes (running shoes or flat boots) No flip flops, sandals, skirts or dresses are permitted.
- Guests to wear a mask at all times

I am a horse trail guide, giving guests a unique horse riding experience among wildlife in a a game reserve. I began horse riding at 11 years old, and participated in jumping and showing in my teenage years and so I have been with horses for almost 30 years. I am passionate about horses, wildlife, the outdoors and adventure. I am also the founder of a non-profit organisation that provides adventure experiences for children with disabilities.
Where you'll be
The 240ha wildlife sanctuary is home to giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, kudu, eland, bontebok, springbuck, waterbuck, gemsbok, tortoises and a variety of birdlife. Our gentle horses are quite at home among the wildlife and so we have ocassions for close encounters and up-close photo opportunities depending on how close the animals are roaming near the roads.

Five of us aged 15-72 had a wonderful time and felt completely safe despite all being beginners. Saw baby giraffes up close which was a real treat. So lovely to experience the sights and sounds of the beautiful location on horseback as opposed to in a vehicle. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a memorable African adventure!
Just be sure to take your own water as there is none available on site.
