What you'll do

Meet Terry Corr or Jon Monsoon, Your qualified Marine Conservationists and Sea Kayak guides at our Shark Warrior Adventure Centre at Seaforth beach, receiving an interactive presentation. You will receive a safety briefing before jumping into our comfortable sea kayaks, and head out into the big blue. Rounding the corner, you will be faced by incredible African Penguins at Boulders Beach. Paddling is easy, at your own pace and we reach the remote Windmill beach, where we spend time in the sun swimming. On our return journey, we head out to Ark rock to visit playful cape fur seals. We paddle back to our centre to complete our experience. An awesome adventure that is responsible, the best way to meet the Penguins, learn more about sharks, and the wonderful creatures that inhabit the unique kelp forests.

We had an absolute fabulous experience with Terry and the rest of the group! It was wonderful the see the penguins, seals and everything else that are part of that special ecosystem. We even saw a seal catching, struggling with and eating an octopus!

Highly recommend this tour! Terry’s kayak tour with the penguins was the highlight of my trip to South Africa. It was a magical and memorable experience. The area is just stunningly beautiful and we saw tons of wild life, including the famed penguins. Terry takes extra care to make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe in the water. We did a short safety overview before getting into the water. He’s a true conservationist, and he shared many stories about the wildlife and history of the surrounding area. The tour is great value and it goes to a good cause helping out this conservation center. I enjoyed the tour so much that I actually went back the next day for a scuba dive tour of the kelp forests. The center has many different and unique tours to offer. I encourage you to check them out!

We had a wonderful experience at this Paddle with the penguin excursion. we go so close to the penguins at multiple locations and learned so much about the animals and the location. Also, this is a non-profit and goes to a good cause. When we did the excursion it was only my husband and I on a private tour with Terry which was fantastic. We highly recommend this experience.

Amazing experience as far as the weather is good. Unfortunately the weather forecast showed rain so I asked if we can participate at the other group of the day, was not possible so we paddled in the rain..

On my 3rd visit to Boulder beach, I decided to visit the penguins from out sea instead from In land. Our guide was passionate and well knowledgeable about sea life. It was a rainy day therefore we didn't get the full experience because of the sea condition. I personally think the tour is overpriced for what you get. If your goal is to see penguins, I strongly suggest you visit them in land where you will get better sightings and close encounters.

The whole experience of kayaking with the penguins was excellent! Our bags were stored safely and there were private areas to change. Terry was a really nice guy and obviously cares a great deal about the animals. For novices, we found the kayaking not too strenuous and Terry kept a good pace, with frequent breaks. Got great views of the penguins, as well as a fur seal pup!
