Maria is really cool! My friends and I had fun spending the afternoon painting at her studio. Maria provided materials and reference images, taught us how to mix Nihonga paints, and helped us with our compositions. Great for both beginners and experienced painters—my friends and I have different levels of painting experience and she catered her guidance to each of our needs. And we each got a cool keepsake to bring home from Japan. If you’re interested in Nihonga painting please give it a try!
