About your host

As Director of Biocitizen LA, the experience of bringing students into direct contact with the nature of Los Angeles has inspired me to go deeper into its story. Watching students meaningfully engage with their natural and built environments has instilled in me a passion for place-based learning and I continue to seek out and share the biocultural stories that define Los Angeles, or Our Place.
