What we’ll do

We'll meet on the West side of Central Park. You'll meet your host and fellow photographers as you set up your tripods before heading into the park. We'll practice photographing cars as they whiz by and discover that your camera can pick up light that isn’t detectable to the human eye. Next, we'll head into Central Park and explore areas like the Cherry Hill Fountain, Bow Bridge, and The Lake. Our…

Bring a digital camera. You must manually control three settings—aperture, shutter speed, and ISO in manual mode. Please bring a tripod that extends to your eye level and works with your camera.

Where you'll be

We'll start on the west side of Central Park at the intersection of 72nd St and Central Park West. We'll walk deeper into the park, stopping along the way at Bow Bridge, one of the most photographed spots in the park. We'll end the class at Bethesda Terrace, which includes the incredible and iconic Bethesda Fountain.
