MEDITATION ON SCENT
Meditation is key to manage and cope with our emotions. It teaches us how to accept ourselves, forgive ourselves and trust the present moment. However, meditation can feel hard and intimidating.
My meditation technique focuses on the power of smell- our most emotional sense- to help you meditate. Having researched the effects of scent on the brain, this Meditation on Scent uses breathwork, observation and visualization to establish a deep connection between the mind and body.
Please have your favorite scent handy that you can spray or massage on your fingers, neck and tip of your nose to fully enjoy the experience.
E.g: fragrance, essential oil, scented lotion or cream
Tips for choosing an essential oil, depending on your desired mood:
- energy: peppermint, citrus fruits
- calm: chamomile, lavender
- balance: vetiver, woods, spices

No meditation experience needed. Beginners and experienced are both welcomed! You will need a quiet and comfortable space for the experience.

A few years ago, I discovered how transformative meditation was when combining it with scent. It helped me to start a regular meditation practice and to find deep inner peace and balance.
I have taught my technique at various hotels and members clubs in NYC such as the Assemblage, The Wing and Design Hotels. My current mission is to help more people to meditate by sharing this simple tool online. We have no idea how powerful our sense of smell is!
