We will meet before the entrance of the Zionskirche. Then, we will walk along the well-known Kastanienallee, make a stop at the oldest beer garden Prater and end our linguistic trip at Konnopke´s Imbiß which is a culinary fast food institution. The purspose of this experience is to get first very briefly historical informations and then i will put you in daily common situations in the Kastanienallee which is typical in Berlin for its various restaurants, bars, cafes and second hand shops. We wil learn how to ask one´s way, how to try or buy clothes and finally how to order a drink or a meal at Konnopke´s Imbiss.

It was just me for the experience and Sophie kept me engaged throughout our time together. I didn’t know any German before the experience. By the end of the session, I learned some key phrases and understood the sentence structure of them. Also, she provided historical context of the area for our walk which I love! This was a very unique experience because she hosts it outside and on the street so you make connections to what you are saying. Highly recommend for anyone coming to Berlin!

Great experience. I thought it was going to be a regular "let's sit down and interact" deal. BUT I was wrong. She teaches hands on and everyone interacts regardless of skill level. She teaches the appropriate phrases one needs in order to get by in Deutschland. Highly recommend especially if it is your first day.

Sophie is a really great guide and teacher. My mom and I have different German levels but Sophie smoothly changed the teaching styles for my mom and I respectively. This is a really nice experience for us. We could not only learn german but we also got to know deep about some historical stories in Berlin and some interesting things you wouldn’t know by only visiting tourist spots. Sophie is friendly and professional. Her class is for sure the cherry on the cake for your Berlin trip. Highly recommended!!

It was great experience as a first contact with Belin and to re-discover the basics of german language. Sophie makes it in a extroverted and relaxed way.

Great experience with Sophie! Even though we didn't all have the same level in German she made sure everyone participated and felt at ease. She also added some really interesting anecdotes about Berlin. It was a great opportunity to talk and walk around the city!
