What you'll do

Imagine seeing the sunrise very early in the morning from the Pan de Azúcar hill. If it is in the late afternoon we will have a beautiful sunset.

The Hill or Cerro/Morro Pan de Azúcar, has many entrances and exits through different neighborhoods, for a total of 105 hectares. It is the highest of the 8 emblematic hills of the Aburrá Valley and comprises a view of 180° degrees full of contrasts between the city and the countryside; We can see all kinds of cultivation of flowers, vegetables, coffee, cocoa, tobacco and fruits. El Morro has a silence that contrasts with the noise that the city brings.

Uphill on the green and rocky hill, participants will be able to breathe fresh air, walk among nature and enjoy the fauna and flora. See the city from many viewpoints. Also archaeological sites of the Aburraes Indians, who in a rocky ecosystem grew their cultivation, their houses, and one of the three royal roads made of white stones that is over 200 years old and that leads to the Magdalena River.

We will go down another road to see other neighborhoods— Sol de Oriente, the UVA of the La Libertad neighborhood until we reach neighborhood El Pinal.

It is a very diverse walk where we will have countryside and popular neighborhood loaded with folkloric elements of the city. We will have an adventure in commune # 8 a place in Medellín that is to be discovered and enjoyed.

I really enjoyed seeing all of Medellin this way! Not only were we able to see the the city from the inside, but hiking through nature and neighborhoods gave us a feeling of truly being immersed. The hostess even took us through her own neighborhood, took photos for us and gave us recommendations on where to go once we were done. I definitely recommend this tour. Where comfortable shoes, bring lots of water and some cash to buy fruit as your hiking. 😊

Vanessa was very nice and took us to see areas of Medellin that we otherwise would not have seen. The views from the mountains are magical, and she takes you to a great lookout point. On the way down, we walked through her neighborhood, which was very authentic. Be prepared to walk a lot of steps!

I had a lot of fun on this tour. Started off taking a bus to the location which was really cool. I got a little taste of what local life is like. Make sure to bring plenty of water and use the restroom before you leave there aren't any there. The walk up the hill is a bit tough. I had to stop a few times to rest and catch my breathe, but Vanessa was really cool about it. That women is something else haha. She's an amazing person with a great personality. You'll love her. There isn't very many people like her on this planet that's for sure. I had a blast talking with her on the hike up. The hike there and back was beautiful. I seen a lot of flowers I've never seen before, and lots of butterflies. We ran into a flock of these really beautiful black and yellow birds. Once you get to the top the view is incredible. Well worth the hike. You can see the entire city below. You'll have a great time on this tour. I'd highly recommend it.
