What you'll do

We will meet at the designated place. Do the normal meet and greet. I will give each a bottle of water and a snack to take with and when everyone is ready, we will start. I do not like to rush, but rather to enjoy nature. The reserve has Springbok, Blesbok, Impala, Zebra and Duiker. We will see how many we can spot. We will look at the entire eco system of the reserve, like the birds and trees and of course the view. There is a network of routes, but I know them all very well. There is a toilet, benches to rest and a bird hide on the route. You will walk a bit up and down, but it is nothing to fear. The whole outing will take about 2 hours. This is one of my favourite nature trails in Pretoria.
Other things to note
It is a network of routes, so we can exit at any point. If you want to run it, you are welcome. I will tell you what to do and I will wait for you at the end. Children will also enjoy the route. There is no danger on the route and the environment is save.

I left a music career in the orchestra to live my dream. I founded Flycatcher Travel and Tours in 2003. I just love nature! I have rafted rivers, scuba dived around the South African coast, keen on birding with more than 480 birds on my list and I hiked the mountains. I have summit Mt Kilimanjaro twice! I still hike as often as I can. I am a cultural guide and I often give talks on the Colonial Period in South Africa. I love interaction with people and to show them around.

Where you'll be

Our activity will take place inside a fenced off nature reserve. So, it is save. We will walk around a Kloof and we will walk in a trail path. It will be impossible to get lost! Most of the route is under the trees, but some will be in the sun. Everybody will be taken into consideration. If you would like to eat somewhere after the hike, then I can take you to one of the many restaurants in the area.
