What you'll do
You'll join a group of fellow travelers and music-loving locals in a unique, intimate venue - Seattle's iconic S.S. Virginia V steamship - where you'll experience some of the most talented, up-and-coming singer/songwriters from this region in a unique, intimate setting. You won't know who you're seeing until you arrive at the door - which is part of the mystique - but you'll have an unforgettable night in one of Seattle's most iconic spaces. Remember that doors are at 8pm and the show starts around 8:30pm.
When you arrive, we'll welcome you to the experience and check you in with your first name, giving you the information you'll need to know for the night and helping you settle in to the space, where you'll sit back and drift away on a musical journey. Every concert is unique...so make sure to relax, listen and fully take in the experience! Chairs are provided for everyone.
*Please note all musicians who perform are PAID for their performances, as a part of my mission is supporting musicians. A percentage of your ticket also directly supports the Virginia V Foundation to provide regular maintenance and upkeep on the ship.
Other things to note
- You will need to find your way to the venue
- Beer & wine will be available for purchase during the show
- If you're hard of hearing, show up early to get the best seats!

I have been intimately involved in Seattle's music scene for over 10 years, both as a musician (www.marchtomay.com), and running a concert production company for over five years, prior to launching DRYFT Music (www.dryft.in). I absolutely love the experience of sitting an arms-length away from an amazingly talented performer, getting to participate and engage with the musician in a way that typical venues don't allow. Even more special, these curated shows are often unplugged. But when I do amplify the shows, it's using a Bose PA system which sounds incredible and doesn't take away from the intimate setting. See you on the ship!

Only thing I would change for this experience is a moving boat and artists interact with the crowd a bit more. I understand, they are local artist, however if they played some cover songs for the crowd to sing along to would have been amazing. The first singers voice was soothing me to sleep, while the other not so much.

Had originally planned this adventure back in October for my husband's birthday with some friends and family...last minute my husband had to be out of town. It was last minute, so a little tricky to get refunded and re-booked, but Darren was easy to work with. We re-booked for February and most of our original group was able to go. We sat in the first and second rows and had great interaction with the musicians. It was a great experience and I am so glad we went.

This was an absolutely incredible experience that you will not find anywhere else in Seattle - or in the state for that matter! The ambiance aboard was very fitting, and the musicians were very friendly and interactive. I would recommend this for anyone. Whether for date night or a night out with friends, you'll love this experience!
