What you'll do
I offer a 2 hour guided walking tour of the city of Pisa in English, exploring the major attractions but also getting to see some of the sites that are off the beaten track and popular with locals.
My walking tour will introduce you to the real City of Pisa – right up to and beyond the iconic Leaning Tower. The itineary is absolutely easy going and the walking is always at a leisurely pace.
A unique way to enjoy this unpretentious university city where you have the opportunity to learn about history and monuments but also the every day life of a small and lively Medieval Tuscan town. See the City from a different angle – Discover hidden lanes, Photograph the city from unusual places, See, of course, the Leaning Tower plus other famous monuments.
The tour is available often during the week. It starts at the fountain in front of Pisa Centrale train station at 9:45am and ends at the monumental complex of the Cathedral and Leaning Tower at 11:45am.

My activity as a tour guide mainly focuses on walking tours which I find to be the perfect way to get a feel for the city, its people and traditions.

Where you'll be
We will explore the 4 quarters into which the city center of Pisa is divided: St Antonio and St Martino in the south bank of the Arno river and St Maria and St Francesco in the north bank. We will see the main highlights as well as places off the beaten path, breathing the atmosphere of a genuine medieval Tuscan town and entering some public spaces along the itinerary. Tour ends with an introduction to the famous UNESCO Miracles Square heritage

Do not miss this opportunity! David is the most engaging, personable guide who has made his passion for Pisa his career. He is not just a guy who just decided to be a guide, he has entertained us travellers for many years and it shows at every point. He was funny and interesting and warm. You wouldn’t believe that there so much more to this friendly cosmopolitan university town. David’s grasp of English is A1 as he lived in London so as a traveller himself he understands your needs. He went over and above introducing us to the best coffee and food in town. 6 stars out of 5 stars! I would pay to do this again.
