What you'll do
From Zaragoza to Somport (Port-of-Everyone in Latin; the border with France, in Pyrenees mountains) a easy walking -and more often all downhill- between meadows, woods, more meadows, rivers, a historical railway station.. and bunkers of WWII. All, along the nicest stretch of the ancient Way of Santiago. We will start from the frontier and down between alpine meadows to the ruins of Saint Christina (ten Century), a very old hospital for pilgrims, burned at seventeen century. We'll go later to cross the Aragon river and we will continue to descending. More meadows, woods of pine mountains, scottish pines, beeches and firs. When the way came to the Aragon river, the landscape change with more colours of ash, aspen and willow groves.. Until Canfranc-Station and his historic railroad station. We will go through the village ..or we visit more bunkers against the nazis! Whatever you want! And take again the ancient way. From now, and for me, the better and more nice stretch of this way, below the wood of hazelnuts, orchards, a small waterfall.. to Canfranc and after, the Bridge of Pilgrims and ahead, the cliffs over Aragón river and Villanúa; the final of our little pilgrimage!
I recently qualified professionally as an environmental guide because I credited several thousand hours of "flight". But above all, because it is what I like and I am good! Hello! I've lost count of the times I have presented .. And I'm always changing! I started teaching birds to groups of people from 16 years old and a little later botanic and wildlife, especially along mid-mountain itineraries. Later, schools, groups of all ages .. Mountain guide for more than 15 years. I like this work very much and every more! Continuous improvement in knowledge, way of transmitting them, security, "meteo".. @JesusAlbaSvitil in twitter
Where you'll be
Canfranc-Station, until the early 70's of the last century connected with the rest of Europe. An old forest nursery, because so many pesetas (18 M) were spent on restocking as in the entire season. Then there is Line P with several bunquers, one - for anti-tank piece - pointing to the French platform - worse built - to destroy it faster in case of invasion and halfway, roads, fountains and shelters. If we can, I show you the machine hangar!

And we will visit the ruins of the hospital of St. Cristina, bunkers, the international station of Canfranc, and if the time and the wether is fine, the village of Villanúa.. And the woods and meadows of Pyrenees, sure! https://www.airbnb.es/experiences/1077041 "Birdwatching por los lagos del Pirineo" (..around the lakes of Pyrenees) Very nice and in winter I will change and I will include snow rackets https://www.airbnb.es/experiences/1114248 "Birdwatching around Zaragoza" More urban and very easy. The Ebro river, riverbank copses, orchards and finally a little visit of the old cuarter of Zaragoza https://www.airbnb.es/experiences/1033546 "Descubre el otoño en Ordesa" Next to modify (yes, also) to a hiking over snow with snowrackets and included in the experience and also I will change the title by something like "Come to Winterfell in Ordesa" Very close to approval by Airbnb "Slowdriving por el Prepirineo aragonés" Like "Slowdriving & Romanesque Art in Pyrenees" but this trip is a visit to the best castle of ten century of the world, a lot of rivers with a lot of pools, more ancient churches and a lot of abandoned village (less density of population of Europe)
