What you'll do
We'll meet at our studio located in Bushwick, Brooklyn. A historic neighborhood filled with brownstones and old factory buildings. Our studio is located inside of a renovated 1890's bottle factory. You will learn an in depth step by step process of how to slip cast using a plaster mold. You will get a chance to practice casting porcelain slip, cleaning up a cast piece and you'll also get to decorate and glaze a mug that will be fired in our kiln. The mug will be ready to be picked up 2 days after the workshop, if you are located in the United States we can ship the mug to you, for international travelers if you want your mug shipped to your home country there will be an additional fee for shipping. We've been in ceramic production for many years and we specialize in handmade playful ceramics so you're in good hands!
We are the founders of a Brooklyn-based design studio that focuses on the production of handmade ceramics. We met while studying at Pratt Institute; Sierra has a background in industrial design and Jazmin in fine arts. We both fell in love with ceramics at Pratt and years later decided to form a studio together that allows us to combine our two passions together in clay form.
