What you'll do

Experience Colorado Astrophotography by taking stunning photots of the stars against the Rocky Mountains . The night photography tours are usually between 3.5-4 hours and begin after sunset at the scheduled time. We have access to Colorado's greatest parks and know all the hidden back roads that have some of the most stunning views. Quandary peak, Loveland pass, and Guanella are some of the locations we set up at. Please look up moon phase and rise/set times. We can still go when the moon is out, it just dilutes the amount of stars captured, but we can get stars in any condition other than rain or snow. I have a jeep that easily fits 2 guests and we go to to guanella pass. You can bring your own DSLR camera or we will provide one for you. If you bring your own, please email us so we can make sure you have the right type of lens you need for optimal use. We are also happy to meet you anywhere you might be (within reason) so if you want to meet in a mountain town you are visiting, we are usually willing to meet up with you where you are.
We drive about 30 min into the darkness, then spend another 30min getting cameras on their best settings. After that, we head to stunning mountain views to fish for shooting stars. We stay close to the car, and I teach you how to take optimal photos. We return home with amazing photos.

Unlock a different side of your soul by capturing celestial bodies the against Colorado's most majestic mountains. My name is Maggie Martin and I'm a seasoned landscape photographer. Astro photography has become my most passionate element of photography as well as all different types of long exposure photographs. In my journey as a photographer, night photos have always been such a challenge for me and now that I have mastered this skill, I would love to provide an experience for others to capture the same skill. Come fish for shooters with me.

Where you'll be

Jeep trails in Colorado have been some of my favorite day adventures. We will go anywhere to jeep goes! After all our time here, we know the best camp grounds, the best parks, and the best "off the beaten path" backroads. Since it mostly depends on the weather and the season, it is hard to be specific- but the Rocky Mountains, Lakes, Meteor showers, and the like are all on the agenda.

We had a wonderful experience with Maggie! We had our photography experience at the beginning of October. Maggie had great equipment and showed us how to use the cameras. We felt comfortable using the equipment- and it was unbelievable to see the stars - including shooting stars! Would recommend for anyone interested in photography and/ or astrology. The photos turned out amazing!

Breathtaking experience of a lifetime. My daughter-in-law and I are still talking about this. I was looking for something that she and I could do together while my two sons spent some quality time together before a wedding. I would suggest doing this even if you’re not into photography or want to tagalong with someone who is. We went to sites that I would never have seen. We saw five different locations. One suggestion make sure you go out when there is a fair bit of moonlight if you want to have the outstanding photos that we got. Maggie was wonderful, personable and lots of fun. She spent extra time working with my daughter-in-law who does not have as much camera experience as I do. Added bonus that she went home with some new camera knowledge not to mention nearly 400 photos. I would definitely do this again. Can’t tell you how great it was. Truly was the highlight of our trip

Maggie showed a great knowledge of the area, but foremost she spoiled us with surprises and an adventurous spirit. A real estate agent would present you your new earthly dwelling, and Maggie takes you on an intergalactic tour through the neighborhood of constellations, turning your head up from ordinary parking lot locations to the surrounding beauty of the night sky above. You'll never forget the evening spent with her, even if you tried, she'll surprise you with her own picture describing your place in the universe.
