What you'll do
Escape for one day into Swedish forest and walk over high granite cliffs, with amazing views of some wild parts of Stockholm’s nature reserve. To keep your energy level up, have a relaxing lunch break, and cook your own food on an open fire (you will get the chance to learn how to start a fire). Afterward, continue through the forest until you reach a lake; maybe go for a swim (summertime) or just enjoy the Swedish way of life. If we're lucky, we can encounter some wildlife like squirrels, deers, or even moose (not guaranteed... but you never know).
The hike goes partly off-trail into nature but will always be adjusted to group constellation, fitness level, and weather conditions.
Highlights:
- Eco-friendly tour operator
- Nature hike with an experienced outdoor guide
- Learn how to start a campfire
- Try spotting wildlife
- Swim in Swedish lakes (summertime)
- Walk on frozen lakes (wintertime)
- Escape the city life in Stockholm’s best-kept secret
For the special moment (inclusive)
- 100% Organic campfire-cooked lunch
- 100% Organic Swedish Fika with lunch
- Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten-Free options are available
Additional Information:
- An average of 2–5 people per tour (max. 6 persons)
- Approximately 10–12 km distance
Other things to note
Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free or other food restrictions are no problem, just let me know any food restriction after your booking.

Where you'll be
We'll meet at the Subway station "Slussen" (one station from Gamla Stan or two from T-Centralen). From here, we take the bus to the Nature Reserve Stockholm, which takes us in just 20 minutes to our destination. We'll spend the day out in the wilderness, far away from the busy city life... it’s just around the corner but like another world, and Stockholm’s best-kept secret.
I went on a hike with René outside of Stockholm and it was the best thing I could do on a Wednesday that I had taken off from work. René is a smiling and energetic person that makes you feel comfortable and looked after. I really liked the fact that he is flexible and adapts to the customer needs (I needed a coffee early in the morning and he kindly waited). I was the only one for the tour on that day so we really got to chat and shared many life experiences. René is a traveler and you can really tell how passionate he feels about what he does. I was really impressed with the amazing lunch in the wild (meatballs & mushrooms cooked on the open fire!). He explained few great tips on how to lit a fire (especially after rain), gave me information about the local wildlife and also shared many interesting stories about Sweden. I recommend booking with René 100%. He is friendly, sociable and will make you experience a great day in the nature.

Unforgettable hike with a very knowledgeable host!! Even though it’s really close to Stockholm, it’s not a touristy destination so felt very much immersed in local culture. Fika, lunch and some great conversations made this trip particularly wonderful!!! Highly recommend to solo travelers, too!!
