What you'll do
I recommend this tour for those want to practice their Italian with a very experienced language teacher and also want to visit some of the best spots of Turin, in a very flexible tailored itinerary.
We'll practice your Italian while walking in the city center and focusing on conversation, but it's also possible to do some written exercises together.
We'll learn in the most effective way for your needs, knowledge level and learning style in this PRIVATE tour: you'll decide how to set it, how much to walk and visit, if you want to go to my place for a more classic lesson (I live in a buiding built in 1888 right in the city center), to do written exercises together or not, etc.
We'll work on the mistakes you make, therefore our 1.5 hours will be very useful. You can finally get all the answers you need. Moreover, we can discuss about Italian/Turin culture, life style, society, work, travelling/moving to Italy.
My style is informal and friendly; I'm very patient and like to put some humour in our conversations. Consider me like your LOCAL FRIEND, not a guide or a teacher!
✓✓✓ IMPORTANT: please WRITE to me BEFORE booking since, depending on your (and my) time availability, we will set the best schedule for both:
THE SCHEDULE YOU SEE ONLINE IS PURELY INDICATIVE
- Possible schedule is: 11:30-1pm, 6:30-8pm and also after lunch and dinner
WhatsApp: +393394604885 or text here

Consider me your LOCAL FRIEND, not a guide!
I was born and raised in Turin and am graduated in Art and Cinema History at the University of Turin. I am a teacher of Italian for foreigners and speak also English, French, Spanish, Portuguese.
In 2010 I started to work for some relocation companies that support the expats in their "new life" in Turin and for several companies that provide private language tutoring.
I'll be at your complete disposal for any questions you may have about Turin (or Italy): what to visit, where to eat, transport, culture, etc.
I teach Italian from zero focusing on grammar, pronunciation, culture, gesture, common mistakes, "false friends", etc.

Where you'll be
Our itinerary will cover the most pictoresque spots of Turin in the Baroque or Medieval district, according to your preference.
We can also stop at my apartment to practice more if you want, to focus on written exercises/grammar (I live in a buiding built in 1888 right in the city center).
Since I'll also share with you my best tips to enjoy your stay, I suggest you to join me on your very first day, so you'll be able to skip all tourist traps!

I have an intermediate level of Italian and have always wanted to do a city walking tour in that language. Marzia made it happen! We spoke 90% of the time in Italian (switching to English when something got too complicated for me). While she explained the fascinating history and culture of Turin, I was able to practice my conversation skills. She would gently make corrections (like when I would use the wrong verb conjugation) and would tell me how to say something in Italian when I got stuck on making a sentence. And this was all done with great patience and humor. I had so much fun and learned so much about the city!

These hours with Marzia were fantastic. She’s an excellent teacher, my Italian skills improved as we spoke and I learned essentials about an area which I’ve been to many times before. I will certainly contact Marzia next time I’m in Turin. Many thanks.
