I’ve been canning and preserving for as long as I can remember. I founded Marshall's Haute Sauce and have written a book on canning called “Preservation Pantry: Modern Canning from Root to Top and Stem to Core.” I love sharing my passion with everyone I meet.

Fun class but 5 people was a little too big so it was less hands on. We also asked to make hot sauce but there was only ingredients to make jam and pickles. Overall a fun class, the host is nice and very knowledgeable and content was interesting.

Sarah is extremely knowledgeable and really prepared us to start canning on our own. It’s something we’ve always been curious about and now we feel like we can approach it with some know-how under our belts!

What a fantastic experience! We were warmly greeted with refreshments and expertly guided through the creation of a recipe that our group got to select. There was a great balance of direct instruction and hands-on participation. Sarah was an expert and engaging instructor. She shared lots of tips and stories to make sure we were successful and had a great time. And we went home with some delicious sauce that made an amazing homemade pan pizza tonight! Sarah was eager to answer any questions we had, and I got a swell new apron from a great company, based on her glowing recommendation. All in all, it was an experience that we will “preserve” in our memories for a long time! Thanks Sarah!

Great class to get started with canning techniques. I bought a canning cookbook but didn’t feel perfectly comfortable with the sterilizing and boiling processes and I left this class feeling confident. Excited to get started!

I learned SO MUCH in this class! Sarah is truly an expert in canning foods, she is extremely knowledgeable and very thoughtful in her teaching style. I've been nervous about canning, getting it right is so important. Sarah shared a great deal of scientific information that was very helpful, I learned how to do things correctly from Step 1 all the way through to the finished product. If you are interested in canning, I highly recommend this class. 100%!

Sarah was a great host! I had never done canning before and now I feel I’ve discovered this brand new world. Sarah was friendly, her space was great, and you can tell right away she is very passionate and knowledgeable about canning. I loved that she had personal stories connecting with her passion for canning - it made the experience very unique and amazing.
