What you'll do

Need a different day or time? Feel free to request it.
At the time you choose, we'll meet at a lightly traveled trailhead in North Phoenix and take a few minutes to get acquainted.
Next, we'll begin our hike on a wide, gently sloped trail with spectacular views of the Phoenix Mountains Preserve.
Along the way, I'll teach you some cool stuff about the desert landscape.
If you want a little more challenge, we’ll have plenty of routes to choose from.
After about 30 minutes, we'll begin making our way back to the starting point, then go our separate ways. You’ll leave refreshed with a greater appreciation for the Sonoran Desert.

I've been hiking for many years and have learned a lot of tips to help beginning hikers quickly break through any anxiety or concerns they may have about hiking, especially in the desert.

The trails we'll be exploring on this beginner level hike are practically in my back yard, and I hike them multiple times a week.

20/10 would recommend this hike with Paul! This was better than we expected! Paul was knowledgeable, friendly, allowed for breaks to take photos, and gave us options to make the hike harder or easier if we wanted! Definitely will book with him again in the future!

From our initial conversation Paul was responsive and very accommodating with our request to do a sunrise hike instead of at sunset. During our hike he was very knowledgeable about the surroundings and offered interesting facts along the way. The sunrise was spectacular! We enjoyed talking with Paul and recommend this hike for sure!

Paul is a truly amazing hiker and your guy. He’s extremely knowledgeable about the terrain, wild life, weather, trails etc. I completed a morning hike with him as it’s my first time in Arizona and my 45th birthday. He made both experiences truly memorable. I strongly suggest everyone book a hike with Paul. Not only did he explore the terrain with me but he captured so many photos of me along the way so I can share these memories with my friends and family.
