What you'll do

Practice the art of Zen and eat a Seasonal Japanese brunch

If you want to feel a peaceful atmosphere as well as mixing old and modern Japanese lifestyle elements, our experience will be satisfied with your expectation.
I will take you to the serene world of Zen by enjoying local food together. My friend is a temple master, so we will share in two 10-minute sessions of Zen meditation, with a break in between. At first we’ll explain the goal of Zen and how to harmonize posture, breathing and mind. Those methods are important to do Zen meditation more deeply. During a break, we'll offer a simple tea ceremony, serve a plum vinegar to make your sense clear.
After meditation, we’ll eat a Japanese brunch. I'll prepare homemade local Japanese meals and serve up the meal in Japanese traditional bento box. We’ll teach you about eating manners and customs while you take in the Japanese atmosphere. As a Instagrammer, I'll give you my point of view about trends of Japanese local homemade meals.

We really liked the time of zen experience with Kaori and her relatives. Relaxing and feeling the spirit of a temple in a meditation session. Then you will eat a local meal, truly authentic. It’s a way of tasting the culture + get to know local :)

Kaori is a special, incredible human being. She fully understands what sharing experience and culture are about. She is a kind of person you want to be around and learn at the same time in the most welcoming and inspirational ways. This girls rocks! I recommend this event to anybody who wants to taste Japanese cultures in 2 ways - through spirit and stomachs ha ha! Very well, if you have short vacation in such rich in culture country like Japan! You must follow her on Instagram as well! She is a rising star!

Kaori and her team were great hosts. It was a very memorable experience, in which we meditated at a temple and ate a traditional bento box lunch that Kaori (an Instagram all-star chef) had prepared for us. We had such a nice time and learned a lot!

Even Japanese can have new experience, in center of Tokyo. Compact representation and work shop allow us to focus on the zen keywords (system, attitude, way of thinking, 1st goal). With special Japanese meal respecting the spirit of Buddhism we can find Japanese feeling for respecting the nature and universe. great occasion to find new aspect of our inside and mind set. thank you so much, Coco san and the team!
