While the tour was as advertised and accurate, the lack of Covid Protocols was quite concerning. We piled in a very small plane for 10 people. No one else on the flight was masked, including the pilot. Something we didn’t bother to ask about because we assumed like all air travel, mask protocol would be enforced. We are from USA, there were people from South America and Europe on board as well, all unmasked. When we arrived in Samana we took multiple van rides with Nano. Very nice man and good guide, but no mask. My wife and I were the only ones to use a mask during any leg of transportation. If this trip is of interest to you, be warned, there is no mask protocol and you may be putting yourself at risk when you need to pass a COVID test to return home.

Was expecting way better. We left later than expected so we didn’t spend lot of time in different places. The ride to the waterfall was long because we were hundreds of tourists riding horses, and kinda were pushed to give extra money to the people that were going with us. Then we stayed exactly 3mn at the waterfall and couldn’t get a picture because it was crowded like crazy. Then it says that we were going to visit samana but didn’t, we only stayed at the place were we hopped on the horses. The island was nice but only stayed about an hour, and there was a lot of people as well. We only got one meal and we stayed the whole day there. Just glad that I met amazing people during that experience because the rest wasn’t great. I tried to reached out the host because my dad got badly inured a day earlier and he didn’t get back to me. Overall very disappointed.

This trip was excellent! My husband and I went as part of our honeymoon. We really wanted a chance to explore outside of our resort and this scratched our adventure itch! Tip- you will need closed toe shoes for the horseback riding so bring a good pair of tennis shoes. The horseback riding trip is not for the faint of heart lol you’re literally going up and down hills but the guides are fantastic and do an amazing job- tip them! The food once we got back from the waterfall was also delicious! Nano was amazing as other reviewers have mentioned. All in all, it was a perfect excursion!

Wow, where do I start?! Private plane ride, personalized horse back riding, exclusive boat ride, the amazing locals, the extremely knowledgeable staff, or the private island experience? I’ll skip right past all of the things you do on this trip, as you can read the description, and jump right to the over-the-top service provided by each and every staff member. Our pilot was extremely professional and experienced that made us feel like we were riding first class on a private jet. Upon landing in Samana ‘Nano’ picked us up and jumped right into the endless history, culture and lifestyle of the small town we explored. ‘Nano’ is definitely the reason this experience was so over-the-top. We were then taken to a local stable and taken on our personalized horses to the most immaculate waterfall in the DR. ‘Bavo’, my horse trainer, and every other horse trainer worked endlessly to make the horseback riding experience something out of a movie, make sure you tip them well! Our day ended with a Dominican lunch and an exclusive boat ride to a private island where the beach is endless. If I only had $300 to my name I would spend it all on going on this excursion again. No other place in the DR offers this type of excursion for this type of price with those types of people. Thank you to all of the staff that made this excursion a once in a lifetime experience.

This was the most AMAZING experience I’ve ever had. And I travel a lot. I mean who can say that they got their own plane, went horseback riding, swam in a waterfall and visited an island all in one day? I felt like a VIP. The people in Samana were super nice and the food was delicious. Advice for you: make sure you have cash and be ready to tip the guide for horseback riding (and tip very well...you’ll see why). I’m sad that I’m leaving DR but I’m definitely doing this again when I come back.

This excursion was well worth it! You start off by taking the jet to an island you tour the city with a tour guy with you at all times. Than you horse back ride to the water fall which was beautiful. They provide an amazing Dominican lunch. After that you get in a speed boat and visit a beautiful beach! I would definitely recommend this! This is definitely a full day excursion !
