What you'll do

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF GUESTS FOR THE EXPERIENCE IS 2 PEOPLE

Surely you are already in Medellin, so we will pick you up in one of our privates vehicles to start a 2 hours trip approximately, where we will leave the city to immerse ourselves in the Colombian's countryside.

Our first stop will be in El Viejo Peñol, where we will visit a replica of the old town, which was flooded to build a big hydroelectric dam that supplies energy to a percentage of the population of the country.

We will continue to the famous Peñon de Guatape, an approximately 220 meters (721 feet) huge monolith, which inside houses more than 705 steps to reach the top, approximately 2137 meters above sea level (7011 feet above sea level). We will go up to the rock to be able to appreciate one of the Colombia's most wonderful views; there we will taste some fruits to recover, continue our tour and taste a typical lunch from the region.

After lunch we will go on a walk through Guatape, one of the Colombia's most colorful towns, with typical architecture, conservation of their houses and countless handicrafts that will make you go back on time and marvel with the magic and culture that surrounds this place.

Finally, we will take our way back to Medellin to leave you back in your place.

This went above and beyond our expectations. By far the best tour guide and tour I’ve been on in any country! I can’t recommend Sebastian enough!!!

Wow. My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves on this excursion. We thought it was over hyped but it exceeded expectations and more. Pictures don’t do the view justice once you reach the top of the rock, it’s just something you have to see for yourself. Sebastian had a lot of local knowledge and made the arrangements painless for us. He took us to the little town of Guatape after the stair climb and we really enjoyed the history lesson and the sights. We recommend his tour if you want to see this area. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

This tour was amazing. My fiancé and I had planned on doing Guatape on our own via busses and public transportation, but decided to book this tour last minute instead. We are so happy we did. Sebastian’s knowledge of the history of El Penol and Guatape is phenomenal, and we would not have gotten that from taking the bus. The pick up and drop off right at our apartment was incredibly convenient. It was just the three of us too, which was great because we got a truly private experience. The locations themselves are amazing too, so if you are on the fence about whether it is worth it or not, I can assure you it is. I can’t say enough good things about this tour.

We loved this tour with Sebastian. The drive out to Guatape was beautiful; loved seeing the unique farms and small towns. Sebastian knew a great deal about this area and the history. The climb up the rock was challenging for this 60 year old; it showed me how out of shape I am! The views from the top were beautiful. The walk through town after the tour was insightful and colorful. We loved learning about how the locals lived, their challenges, and their culture. Lunch and beverages were included in the tour; all were very good. The last coffee shop we visited was especially nice. Highly recommend Sebastian's tour; he's a magical storyteller, he cares about his clients having a good time, and he's a wonderful, warm young man.

Fantastic experience! I had been before but I brought a friend for the first time. He made it a unique experience for both of us and I can appreciate the history and culture more deeply now. Thanks Sebastián!
