What you'll do

Mexico is one of the top producers of coffee in the world, with its array of high-quality beans. Let’s immerse ourselves in this fascinating universe. First, we’ll have a brief talk about the coffee culture in Mexico. Then we’ll enjoy a coffee tasting starting with an exercise in which we learn about the aromas, flavors, and textures you can find in a cup of coffee. We’ll try them and smell them isolated, and lastly, we’ll do the coffee cupping based on the standards of the Specialty Coffee Association of America. Get ready to taste some of the most fascinating and exotic beans of our country.

I have the feeling that no one reads up to here, if you did please send me a message on instagram @ricardo_lopez_coffee and I will send you a free Barista Handbook to take your coffee skills to the next level.

Gaby was super friendly and knowledgeable of what she was doing. I enjoyed learning how to make coffee in a chemex, which I had never done before. I also enjoyed the little pairings and not ending up wired from too much caffeine. The location is pretty cool too! A big old house turned mini mall for sustainable and local wares.

Gaby was my host on this experience. She truly is passionate and an expert in regional Mexican coffee. We talked about different soils, produce coming out of the Oaxaca region, and the different procceses coffee beans go through before getting grinded. We also discussed brewing techniques, and in the process, got a masterclass in coffee tasting. I'll never forget the dark chocolate and tangerine sampling along with the different coffee beans. It was mindblowing. Thanks again Gaby for such a wonderful experience!
