What you'll do

From the train-station in Rapperswil, we tour the highlights of old-town Rapperswil on foot, before picking up our bikes. Pedaling through fields, woods and quaint towns, we enjoy beautiful sights onto lake Zurich and the surrounding countryside. The bike ride, including time for pictures and little breaks, will get us to the 'Pfannenstiel', a peak in the mountain range cradling Lake Zurich to the north. After climbing the observation tower and enjoying spectacular views of the entire region, we will savor some local specialties in a local restaurant.
After lunch we will roll downhill to the shore of Lake Zurich, and board the ship to head back to Rapperswil. Alternatively you can end the tour here and take the ship in the opposite direction to Zurich.
In Rapperswil a Gelato will be enjoyed before returning the bikes and ending today's Explorathon.

Starting time: 9am
Sightseeing on foot: 60-90 minutes
Bikeride to Pfannenstiel: 20km gradual uphill with rolling hills
Bikeride to Lake: 6 km mostly downhill
Boatride: 1 hr
End of tour in Rapperswil: approx. 16:30

Total duration of tour: 7-7.5 hrs

Sabine crafted the ideal tour, with the perfect combination of fitness, sightseeing, local history, and opportunities just to appreciate this very special part of the world. Her local is unsurpassed, with her experiences around the world, architecture background and yoga, there was plenty of things we connected over. Although she incredibly fit , she was aways supportive.
