(20) Deluxe Room with Private Bath

Unbeatable location (just off 18th & Valencia). Bright room with an amazing bed. We're friendly and experienced hosts - we've hosted over 250 stays on Airbnb. Upgraded high-speed wifi. We keep the bathroom clean and stocked :) Full kitchen with all the essentials. Super easy access to public transport. Vibrant nightlife and restaurant scene. Short walk to Dolores Park, The Castro, Twin Peaks and Bernal Heights.
The apartment overall is bright and unusually large for San Francisco. We use this listing for two of the three rooms in our apartment (see photos) so please inquire as to which room is available for the dates you're looking at. The rooms are very similar: both are bright and have truly glorious queen beds, both have bay windows. One also has a desk and the other has hammock chairs (not included in the photos). You're welcome to sleep three in the bed, or if you prefer, we can give you an air mattress to sleep a third person, which easily fits in any of the three rooms. If you want to squeeze in a fourth, send me a message and we can discuss. The living room is sunny and spacious with bay windows, the comfiest sofa you'll ever sink into and a new flat screen TV with hook-ups to pretty much any computer or iPad for all your movie and TV watching needs. The kitchen is clean and offers all the essentials for any cooking you choose to do when you're not exploring the city's vibrant restaurant scene. The split bathroom is shared and has a separate bath/shower room and toilet room. We keep both clean and well stocked. More photos available upon request. What's ours is yours! (With the small exception of some of the food in the fridge) We're happy to share. Pots and pans, cooking ingredients, coffee and breakfast food in the morning, the TV, even toothpaste if you need it! We'll provide you with clean sheets, towels, shampoo and soap when you arrive. There will be coffee, bread, eggs, milk and cereal in house, to which you are always welcome. If you're arriving when we're not home, we have a lockbox so we'll make sure you're able to get in as soon as you arrive and we'll be around at some point to introduce ourselves. We're also available by phone most of the time so please feel free to give us a call if you need any help making plans, getting things booked or figuring out logistics for your stay in advance. My roommate and I are both friendly, love meeting new people and are both experienced travelers. If you want to hang out and talk, we're down. If you want privacy and time to yourself, we get that too. If you need recommendations for restaurants, bars, activities or anything else, we know the city and we're more than happy to point you in the right direction. There'll usually be one of us around (Andy) but how much we'll be in the apartment will depend on the day. We both work Monday to Friday so we're mostly around on weekends and in the evenings during the week. We often have two of our three rooms rented out so there's a chance you will be sharing the house with another guest. Please inquire for the dates you will be staying if you’d like to know with whom you’ll be sharing our home.
The Mission is San Francisco's most happening neighborhood and we are right at the center of it. We're a five minute walk from the famous Dolores Park, you can see Valencia Street from our living room and there are literally hundreds of the city's best restaurants and bars within high-heel friendly walking distance. There's even a grocery store across the street if you feel like doing some cooking. The location could not be better. We're 2 blocks from a BART stop (the cities underground train system) and there are 5 major bus stops within a block of the house. Getting around from here is as easy as it gets in San Francisco. Please be aware that we are not a hotel and we do not operate like a hotel. While we do everything we can to make your stay as comfortable, convenient and enjoyable as possible, both my roommate and I work full time so we rely on our guests to handle room changeovers. This means you will likely need to make up your own bed when you arrive (we will provide you with a full set of clean sheets) and leave the room as you found it when you depart. We're very flexible so if you have a specific request, let me know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Futon in living room, amazing view

Great location! 1 block to Valencia Street, 2 blocks to Dolores Park, 8 minute walk to Mission/16th. Street BART. Yes, you have your own space, your own bathroom and your own entrance. Our building has 3 units, and you will be sharing a wall. The people on the other side of the shared wall are loud. I wish I could say we have a quiet sanctuary. If you read through my reviews, you will see that the noise bothers some, but not all. I provide a background noise machine and earplugs.
The space is on the ground floor with a sliding glass door that opens to the back yard. The main room has a queen size bed, dresser, desk, and futon sofa, cable TV, and shelves to organize your things. There is a small room outside of the bathroom that has a small refridgerator, and microwave. Since it is not a real kitchen, there are disposable plates and utensils because doing dishes in the bathroom would not be a good idea for our plumbing. You will find a Nespresso coffee maker, coffee pods, a toaster, cutting board and knife. The bathroom has a sliding door, The toilet is under the stairs, so a sloping ceiling, please take care not to bump your head! (See the picture) There is a sink and shower. The separate access is via a ground level hall that takes you from the street to the separate entrance and backyard. The hall is were the refuse is stored for the building as well as bikes. With your separate entrance, you will basically be on your own. I will try to answer any questions you have.
The Mission is hard to describe. It is vibrant, and a little bit of all that SF has to offer. There is great food, and the best people and this block of SF has the best micro-climate in the whole city. I feel lucky to live here. BART is 4 blocks away(Bay Area Rapid Transit).taking you to other cities nearby. #14 and #49 bus are 2 blocks away(Mission St, downtown, Ghiradelli Sq). J-Church train is 3 blocks(downtown, Noe Valley). 33 is half a block(Casto, Haight) Parking is difficult. Paid parking is $24 per day and 3 blocks away. The streets have 2 hour limited parking during the day, and posted days for Street Cleaning when you can't park on that street for a 2 hour time range. Parking is free if you can find a spot, and leave your car between 7pm and 10am the next day. Free street parking Saturday and Sunday. The back yard is a shared space, but because you have the most convenient access, odds are you will be the only one using it.

Our loft is updated and very spacious. If you are okay with sharing a space with my wife and I, then it's a perfect fit! Our place is centrally located in the city and a short commute to some of the best sights San Francisco has to offer. There is street parking on all the streets surrounding out building. We do not have secured parking for guests. We have everything you need: fully stocked kitchen washer/dryer TV/internet comfortable bed to sleep on :) Guests have access to the entire unit. The sleeping area is downstairs with a half bath. The shower is upstairs attached to the host's bedroom and open for use as well. Please feel free to contact me (text or call) with any questions.
Civic center Bart is the closest stop to my location. There are some bus options from there, but it's a pretty quick walk down 7th as well. The Caltrain is also a few blocks (10-15 minute walk) from us. We are 10-15 minute walk from almost anything you would need. Otherwise, an Uber or Lyft can be at the curb in minutes. (Use UberPool or Lyft Line to get around for cheap!) We do have a dog, Dakota, that lives with us. She is a very sweet rescue pup, but does shed quite a bit. Please be cognizant of this if you have pet allergies!
