  • Nice neighborhood about half mile from the light rail at US Bank Stadium. Each guest gets a nice size locker and the three bedrooms have individual key pads so I felt comfortable and safe. I would certainly stay there again next time I'm back in town for a visit.

  • Steve's house is a very affordable place to stay right next to downtown Minneapolis, with fast WiFi and hot shower. Location is good: 10-min walk to METRO blue/green lines and 20-min walk to the Mississippi River. Street was quiet at night. I didn't get to meet Steve in person but communication was smooth. The only complaint I had was the bathroom. It was simply not enough for 16 beds, even if they weren't all occupied. I stayed for 3 days and except for one morning, there was a wait before I could use it. To be fair, there's a backup bathroom downstairs, but you can't shower or brush your teeth there (for the latter, kitchen sinks were also out of the question, as they were filled with pots and pans). I would suggest avoiding the peak times to use the bathroom, although that was not always feasible, depending on schedules. Other than that, this is a great place to rest for the night after your daytime exploration of the Twin Cities. And I would recommend it for the budget-minded travelers to the region.

  • The apartment felt like a warm, cozy home-away-from-home the moment I walked in the door. The Christmas tree was an especially nice touch! And, Chris & Monica were wonderful hosts. I would definitely recommend it. With a smile ~ Ana Maria

  • The apartment is great and the historical ambiance definitely added to my Minneapolis experience. The location is perfect - you can pretty much walk to everything - river front, museums, lots of restaurants and bars, and the train if you need to a bit further. Chris was a great host and the place was immaculate. I highly recommend staying here if you are planning to visit Minneapolis.

    Terry2018-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • An up and coming neighborhood with a short walk to public transportation, downtown shopping & restaurants. Chris was a wonderful host and responded immediately to my questions and needs. This historic building had the charm one would expect. The unit was equipped with everything needed for a short or long stay in the area. I was welcomed to a refrigerator stocked with soda, still & sparkling water, coffee creamer and tangerines. I would certainly stay there again!

  • My fiance and I stayed here for a quick trip to Minneapolis since we have never been there before. It is one block from the nearest bus stop and 5/6 blocks from the blue/green line which can take you from downtown to the airport, mall of America, and St. Paul. The building is a bit older so be prepared to hear the neighbors some and floors/pipes creeking. Overall it was a cute delightful stay.

    Shannon2019-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The location really can't be beat. It is close to everything you could ask for in Downtown Minneapolis, but it is just far enough from the buzz to offer a quiet, restful environment. The place itself is cozy but not too small, and everything is in great working order. On top of it all, it is clean and well-laid out! Check in was a breeze as was check out, and Chris was amazing about checking in with me to see if there is anything he could do to make my stay more comfortable. I will be back the next time I'm in town!

    DoSoon2017-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Chris and Monica's place is in a lovely historic building in a great location for anything downtown Minneapolis. It was a huge plus to have free parking and the snacks / refreshments they provided were also a nice touch.

    Dallas & Carla2017-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed 4 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Chris and Monica are great to work with and were quick to respond in communications and made sure that we had everything we needed to be comfortable. The location is fantastic. It’s just outside of downtown so it’s not noisy or overly busy, but a quick 3-block walk gets you to the Minneapolis Skyway, which connects all the downtown buildings and is a lifesaver for those cold days! We enjoyed staying and I really hope to make it back very soon for a second stay! I would highly recommend this to anyone heading to Minneapolis, especially if you’ll be spending any amount of time downtown.

Adirondack Adventure #205 is our most affordable apartment and is the perfect place if you are looking for a simple stay in the heart of Minneapolis. Walking distance to the US Bank Stadium (3 blocks), The Armory Event Center (2 blocks), Conventions Center (6 blocks), Nicollet Mall and the Orpheum Theatre (7 blocks) and less than a mile to Target Field, the Mississippi River Front. Walk, bike, uber anywhere on a budget.
This is a building built in 1915 and has seen its share of transition as was originally built as the Adirondack Hotel and then converted to apartments. Elliot Park Neighborhood has seen it share of comebacks and right now it is in its greatest redevelopment. This building was recently purchased by new owners and is getting ready to renovate the hallways but till then is still showing signs of stress. However, once you get into the apartment you feel comfortable and at home.
The South Ninth Street Historic District exhibits one of the city’s best and most cohesive collections of multiple-family dwellings from the turn of the century. Generally located along Ninth and 10th streets between the intersections of Park Avenue and Fifth Avenue, the district also extends south to include properties along East 14th and East 16th streets. Southeast of the central business district, the South Ninth Street area served as an important zone of transition between the downtown commercial core and outlying lower density residential districts. The area remains unique for being the only neighborhood in Minneapolis with a linkage of serial housing, featuring prominent local architects. During the mid-1880s, the young City of Minneapolis was booming. The flour milling industry had hit full stride, bringing thousands of hopeful newcomers to town in search of new jobs and new homes. A rapid influx of new residents between 1880 and 1890 created a severe shortage of housing. As architects and builders scrambled to meet the demands, a new type of building – the row house – was introduced to the Minneapolis streetscape. The first residents to settle in the South Ninth Street District were affluent professionals drawn to the area by its proximity to the downtown business district. Many of these wealthy businessmen, such as Samuel Morse, vice president of the Minneapolis Flour and Manufacturing Company, enjoyed living in row houses designed for wealthy inhabitants adjacent to the 10th Street and Park Avenue mansions. The district also appealed to members of the middle class, such as clerks and bookkeepers who worked for the railroads and milling companies headquartered downtown. Residing in more modest flats, these people enjoyed low rent prices offered by developers and easy access to the workplace provided by the new streetcar lines. The most outstanding feature of the South Ninth Street District is its uniformity of type, scale, material, age and design. Between 1886 and 1915, local architects including William Channing Whitney and Frederick Clark designed townhouses, row houses and flats based on Classical, Renaissance and Romanesque models. The red brick buildings feature an assortment of diverse details rendered in red stone and terra cotta. The Park Avenue fourplex (912-914 Park Ave. S.) and the Lee Residence (623-625 Ninth St. S.) represent examples designed by William Channing Whitney, while the Mayhew (614-626 Ninth St. S.) and the Linne Flats (728-740 E. 16th St.) represent examples designed by Frederick Clark. Although the South Ninth Street neighborhood has changed over the years, it still illustrates the coming of age of Minneapolis. Its location anticipated the development of a large city by indicating a separation between commercial and residential zones. The appearance of the row house as an alternative to single-family residences marked the evolution of the urban city from its village roots. Within the South Ninth Street Historic District, the "City of Lakes" made its transition from frontier town to urban center.
  • Great hosts! The communication was amazing, the studio was very clean, the location was exactly what I wanted, and was provided plenty of information for my stay in Minneapolis.

We could literally see US Bank Stadium from our window! Parking was easy. The apartment was well appointed and comfortable. Chris and Monica responded quickly and are very helpful. Highly recommend any of their offerings.

  • Great spot! Worked perfectly as an alternative to a hotel while I was in Minneapolis for a conference. Great communication and easy check-in/out. Highly recommended!

    Laura2019-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for character, this is the place. Can’t say enough about this cute little brownstone. The apartment looks exactly like the pictures. My favourite was the comfy bed! We were there for a couple of warm August days, but the place was cooled nicely with a window AC and ceiling fan. The fridge was also stocked with bottled water and pop—a nice touch after a long drive. Parking is available right behind the building. The downtown location is great, and the LRT is also handy. The stadium is a couple blacks away for those in town for Vikings games! Chris and Monica are super friendly and quick to respond. A great experience overall—would definitely stay again!

There’s no cable TV but if you know how to cast Google Chrome that works great and they get all the local channels in HD.

  • Everything was so great at Chris and Monica's place this last weekend! Easy entry, no more street noise than anticipated, all the amenities a person could ask for, plus more! I had to use the iron and it wasn't all burnt and old like you get at some places. Everything was cute and clean with a mix of modern and vintage! We walked to a few parks near by and the downtown area is just blocks from the unit. With the weather at 90 Fahrenheit plus humidity- coming home to an air conditioned place was a luxury! 10/10 would stay again.

The location is perfect, right by the stadium and cool bars. We walked to the Nicolette area at night to hit the restaurants and bars. So close! We even walked to Target Field (about 25-30mins)! The space is so cute! It’s a gorgeous historic brownstone and could not be better. We will stay here next time we’re in town!

  • Chris and Monica's place was a cute historic apartment located near enough (5 minute walk) to the train station and within walking distance (10-15 minutes) to downtown. We really enjoyed staying here! The only issues were that although we booked the apartment for 3 people, when we arrived, there was only one bed for two people even though the host communicated that they would be bringing a cot. However, the next day, they did bring a cot. It is an old apartment, so there was also an issue with the ceiling leaking in the bathroom. Although this only happened one day, there are definitely some rusty leaking pipes that could use some work.

This is a comfy studio that's technologically enabled and has been remodeled through and through, Amenities include: heated bathroom floors, in unit split aircon/heat, espresso maker, popcorn maker, and modern appliances. With gig-speed internet, it's a pleasure to watch Netflix, or Amazon Prime in 4k on the 55 inch screen, with the surround sound speakers, while in bed, or relaxing on the couch. Situated in Elliot Park, you're right near all the action of downtown Minneapolis.
The unit has a super comfortable 14 inch, layered memory foam bed. Provided are necessities such as coffee, (Nespresso machine, and traditional percolating pot style), tea, (and or if available) juice, milk, bread, and misc seasonings, condiments, etc. The unit is mostly Alexa enabled, (instructions given upon check in). Laundry, and the gym is accessible with key fob, (located in basement).
On the boarder of Elliot Park, and Downtown West, the area has been steadily gentrified over the past couple years. Just a couple blocks down is an amazing brewery called Finnegan's, as well as a couple incredible restaurants. There's a Trader Joe's just 4 blocks away, and a Target that’s about 1/2 mile away, as well.
  • I was in town for a conference at the Hyatt regency. John's place was conveniently located (~15 min walk) to bot the conference center and many wonderful restaurants, bars, and the Nicollet Mall. The room was cozy and well furnished with a huge TV and small kitchen. I appreciated the travel toothbrush and tooth paste which made settling down easy. Communicating with John was easy. Overall, highly recommend his place.

  • John goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is everything and more. He provided extra little things , just in case. Bed is VERY comfortable. We didnt use much of anything because we flew in for Garth Brooksand flew home right after. But I would HIGHLY suggest staying here if your travels include downtown Minneapolis

  • It was a great place for short stay!

    Young Jun2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • It was good. The apartament has everything you need for a short staying. It may be noisy since it's in front of an avenue, but that was not a problem for me.

  • Very nice place. The Alexa features were fun as well as the gift basket. I would recommend staying here if you don't mind a bit smaller space.

  • Great place to stay! John is nice and check in/out was super easy. Good location, close to transportation and good restaurants. Awesome technology in the apt, and even a gift basket. Highly recommend!

  • If what you are looking for is a place to crash in between sightseeing, events, work or whatever it is you are in Minneapolis for, this is it. One room studio apt with a nice comfortable bed, couch, big tv with netflix, amazon and various tv apps, a nice kitchen area with microwave, oven, coffee maker and fridge and I loved the shower! :D Soap and shampoo already there, for those of you traveling light. Location wise this is awesome. I just walked everywhere I needed to go, right next to US Bank Stadium. Target was nearby for groceries during the stay, downtown towers and bars and mall were just a couple of blocks away. (Although if you wish to take the bus around town, a bus stop is right outside the apartment). I will definitely book this again if traveling back myself. Just one small heads up for light sleepers would be there is a huge hospital next door, so there was a lot of ambulance and helicopter traffic during the night. A nice basket with wine and sleep aids was provided though and may help with this if needed :) (This didn't bother me but if someone a light sleeper, I figure should know :) ). Anyway - wonderful stay, I'd do it again.

  • This was our first time using Air BNB. We chose John's place because of location. It's close to public transportation, it's in the heart of the city. It's close to everything! John was very quick to respon through out our time at his studio. John was helpful and informative when there was an issue or just to reach out to him. When I booked with John. I knew I wasn't going to need a big place because I would be exploring the twin cities from the Crack of dawn till about midnight. It maybe a studio apartment but in my opinion what John offered an interactive experience. His Amazon Alexa controls most of the unit which is by far one of the coolest things ever! John trusted us with his entire studio, even with letting us use anything in the fridge, his smart TV, all his cook ware and cooking ingredients too that I may add as he was very trustworthy with us which is really hard to find with common people nowadays. He even had a fitness room which I definitely was not expecting. I also was not expecting his welcome basket full of goodies to help make us feel more right at home. I highly recommend John's place if you ever travel to the city of Minneapolis, it's such a great cozy place. John will make sure you're accommodated with everything you need. Words can't describe how happy my experience was with John.

  • Such a fun place to stay, with the stained glass, beautiful wood, tin kitchen ceiling and claw-foot tub! We were 7-10 blocks from everything - light rail at US Bank Stadium, a CVS, a Starbucks, the Elliot Park Grocery (a cultural experience) and the delicious Band Box diner. We had an awesome weekend - LOVED the personal touch of a birthday and 'Skol Vikes' message on the chalkboard!

  • This was such a wonderful place to stay. The amenities were spectacular along with the the view. We rode the light rail everywhere as it drops you off right next to the building

  • Luxurious apartment overlooking downtown Minneapolis. Clean and comfortable. Great proximity to everything, as other reviews have mentioned and for me better prices than the hotel I originally reserved. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

  • Very convenient and fully stocked. ExecuStay made the entire process extremely easy and were easy to reach for questions and requests. Would absolutely recommend this place/service and will look for it again in the future. 10/10

  • Fabulous small apartment in downtown Minneapolis. Kitchen had everything I needed to cook dinner. Nice sitting area. Washer and dryer with detergent was a thoughtful addition. Bathroom was huge. Fantastic view over downtown and so close to everything. Near public transportation and all sports arenas. Next time I come to Minneapolis, I would love to stay here.

    Suzanne2018-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place is stylish and amazingly quiet for being a condo downtown. The location is excellent. Before I arrived, I had read reviews that noted the light rail had a stop a few blocks or a short distance from the condo building. The stop is literally right out front! I was concerned about traveling on it as a single woman, but I felt totally safe during the weekend. You can't beat the $2 fare and convenience!

Ultra comfort Queen Sized memory foam mattress. •Clean Laundry in the basement, 2.00 wash, 2.00 dry. •Bike Storage or FREE BORROW A BIKE's AVAILABLE •TV •Off Street Parking •Great neighbors, all tenants properly screened. •AWESOME LOCATION! My Historic Brownstone is located in the South Ninth Street Historic District downtown Minneapolis and is registered on the National Register of Historic Places.
The South Ninth Street Historic District exhibits one of the city’s best and most cohesive collections of multiple-family dwellings from the turn of the century. Generally located along Ninth and 10th streets between the intersections of Park Avenue and Fifth Avenue During the mid-1880s, the young City of Minneapolis was booming. Many of these wealthy businessmen, such as Samuel Morse, vice president of the Minneapolis Flour and Manufacturing Company, enjoyed living in row houses designed for wealthy inhabitants adjacent to the 10th Street and Park Avenue mansion.
  • This cozy apartment is small and basic. The downtown location was perfect . We were able to walk to most everything we wanted to do (Guthrie Theater, downtown shopping, Target Center). The kitchen is small and limited for major cooking but was fine for cooking our hearty morning breakfasts. The bed was comfy, tv good and wifi worked well. It was also really nice having a reserved off street parking spot. We never met Chris or Monica but the e-mail messages and texts were all that were needed. The apartment was ready when we arrived and it was easy to use the front door lock box to get the keys to the front door and the apartment. We enjoyed our stay -- nicer than staying in an impersonal hotel -- and I expect we will be back soon. Thanks.

    Laurie2017-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Chris is a very responsive and friendly host. It was a great location close to public transport.

    Martha2017-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • I attended a conference in downtown for a few days. The location of the apartment was very comfortable. The apartment is clean, cozy and had everything I needed and more. I borrowed a bike from Chris, which was quite useful and fun. Chekin and checkout was a breeze, and communication was easy. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Minneapolis!

    Ori2019-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Location, location, location. Extremely easy to walk to downtown Minneapolis from this quaint apartment. Chris and Monica supplied a detailed overview of recommended bars and restaurants which proved very useful during our 3 night stay. The apartment was very clean and the bed was so comfortable both my partner and I slept better than we would normally when using hotel beds. A must see/stay apartment if you want to be located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis.

    Brian2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Fast communicators, nice and personable as well! Delightful historic style building and apartment. Sometimes the neighbors can be a little noisy—though not intentionally as they were simply coming-and-going through the building—and with age the building's wooden hallway floors are just slightly creaky. If I was as old as this building and its heritage I would probably be slightly creaky too. Haa! Good place.

    David2017-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • What a charming spot. It was a perfect location for us in getting to and from the convention center for a conference. You have to be willing for sounds of the city to add to the mix, but not overwhelmingly so. Chris and Monica are super hosts for a reason! We commend them highly to other Minneapolis travelers.

    Curtis2018-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Chris and Monica’s place was perfect! The apartment was very clean and conveniently located. Chris was great with communication and flexible with check out timing. We’d definitely stay again!

No A/C unit in bedroom so gets a little warm back there, and there are no black out curtains in bedroom either so persnickety sleepers might wanna bring a fan and eye-mask.

  • I had a really nice stay here. The place is conveniently located near the airport, downtown and many local attractions. The apartment was very clean, spacious and the bed was very cozy. I was surprised by how large it was as well. Chris was very responsive whenever I had a question. My finicky daughter even loved the place. I will definitely stay here again when in Minneapolis!

  • We loved this spot. Inexpensive, central, convenient to many great things downtown! Everything in the place was very modern, clean, new, etc. It was terrific! Our only gripe was that the bed was not as comfortable as we would have liked. Better for one person than for two.

Walk out from the open concept living space onto the roof-top deck and enjoy downtown Minneapolis vigor! Our 3rd floor, apartment is where late 1800's architecture meets modern luxury. This apartment boasts of a large bedroom, tiled bathroom and a kitchen with space to cook your gourmet meals. Relax on the sofa and enjoy the grand room with exposed brick, hardwood floors and tall vaulted ceilings. Please let our home become yours for your next stay
Monica and I have lived, loved and owned here since 2002. We manage 17 units next door on this row of what was townhouses for the elite when Minneapolis was booming with flour and timber mills. We raised our two children here and have never had an issue with safety or break-ins although always remember that you are downtown and should be aware and vigilant at all times. My wife and daughter have taken the dogs for walk alone at night and always felt safe.
  • My boyfriend and I came to Minneapolis for a quick weekend getaway. We hope to visit again soon and will DEFINITELY be staying at Chris and Monica’s! The apartment is on the top floor by itself, so it was very private and quiet. It’s absolutely gorgeous, like something out of a design magazine! Proximity was perfect - we walked most places or took a cheap Uber ride when it got too cold. Chris and Monica were very responsive, checked to see if we needed anything during our stay, and had the apartment fully stocked with a hair dryer, shampoo/soap, and snacks and drinks for us upon arrival! My one and only complaint is that the couch - while stylistically perfect for the space - is not very comfy or conducive to two people trying to cuddle, lol. Lovely apartment and lovely hosts, will certainly return.

    Emily2018-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • The space was fantastic. It was easy to get around the city and a much better option than a hotel. Chris, Monica and Michael were wonderful with quick responses and easy check-in and check-out. Would absolutely stay again!

    Samantha2018-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Chirs and Monica's AirBnB is a great one bedroom choice when you are looking to stay close to downtown. Communication was great and the apartment is very comfortable with lots of nice touches (including a little terrace with a hammock). You are only a few blocks from access to the Skyway if it's a bit too wet or cold, and easy walking distance to many great downtown venues. For places a bit farther away the tram line is just down the street. Being downtown you'll definitely get some street noise; note that the hospital is a block away so sirens are a little more frequent. Plan ahead if you are a light sleeper (neighbors on the other hand I couldn't hear at all - benefit of historic buildings with solid walls).

  • If you like a stylish, clean place in the heart of the city, look no further. Communication was easy. We slept well in the bed with the choice of Tempurpedic pillows or regular ones. Even though the Twin Cities have a lot to offer, plan on time to just hang around the beautiful home.

  • This is a great place, with lots of space, natural daylight, excelent furniture, small details for the guests, easy to get in and to check-out, up to date facilities, comfortable beds, we found it perfect! The communication was always fast and accurate, it was a pleasure to stay here.

  • We've stayed here twice and it is amazingly comfortable, especially when we travel with our teenager. LOTS of space, two bathrooms, great kitchen for quick meals in and really prompt replies whenever we have had questions come up.

  • Huge fan of all the Sonder properties. They are amazing hosts and I absolutely loved this space. I have booked Sonder multiple times and will continue to do so based on the experience I have had with their listings in Minneapolis (also check out their other ones in the building - I have stayed at 3 of them in total). Highly recommend.

    Nadia2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay here! Check in was easy and the Sonder staff always got back to me right away to answer any questions I had prior to our stay. We didn't have communication with them during, but we didn't need to because everything was clear and straightforward. The place was super clean and well appointed with towels, linens, and soaps. They provided coffee. The dishes they had we're enough for our purposes. The room was modern, bright, and airy. It is well decorated. My only critique is that the comfortable seating options were a little sparse for us two couples. There was a three person (if you snuggle with each other) couch and one side chair with a hard back and padded seat. Other than that, you're left with the wooden dining table chairs or bar stools. There was a small swivel accent chair in the bedroom we could have moved out to the living room, but it wasn't worth it. A pretty minor issue, overall. The room also had a nice balcony with a small table and a couple chairs. It was cool to sit out there at night to look at all the downtown lights. The building was quiet on the weekend. You could not hear the neighbors, and even though it's downtown, the apartment was very quiet and you couldn't hear traffic when the windows were closed. There's a really nice rooftop terrace that would be great to use in warmer weather. We also saw a workout room which looked like it had some nice equipment. The location was excellent being in walking distance to US Bank stadium, the Guthrie theater and lots of restaurants and breweries. You can also travel via skyway all over downtown or take an Uber. We walked pretty much everywhere. There's also a city bike rental right by the building. Parking was easy. There's a couple options. We used the Fleet Farm parking garage across the street. It's cheaper than the validated spot you get with the room rental (Sonder told us this as well). Finally, it was also really handy to have a Trader Joe's connected to the building to grab beverages and snacks. I recommend the Trader Joe's Raspberry Kringle for a breakfast treat!

    Sarah2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous stay, having Trader Joe’s right next door worked like a charm.

  • This was a stunning apartment. The exposed brick, built in bookshelves, and decor felt tied to the historic building and Minneapolis. The hosts were easy to communicate with and sent some great recommendations over when I booked. I would definitely stay here again.

  • This space was exactly what we needed for our stay in Minneapolis. It was as described, and very close to all the good areas in town! Brad was a great host and immediately would respond to any questions I had. We had a great time and appreciate the spot!!

  • A comfy and spacious one bedroom that's well-furnished and in a walkable distance to downtown. Brad was extremely quick to respond to any questions I had and was very helpful. A mid-stay light cleaning was even offered, which was quite the nice touch! The value for the place is also excellent and I'd definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a place to stay in Minneapolis!

    Andrew2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Best place to stay when traveling. Close to downtown and Brad was quick to answer any questions.

    Marvin2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Brad’s place was clean. Great comfortable bed. Good location, close to Downtown. We had a few problems when we first arrived (couldn’t open the lock box because it was low to the ground, it was raining and we are retired and can’t see small numbers easily). Brad patiently talked us through the process. When we couldn’t find the remote, he came over and helped us look-then purchased a new one for us the next day when it was discovered the remote accidentally followed the last guest home). Hair dryer was missing so Brad also had someone drop it off later that day. Fully stocked kitchen so we went to the Farmers Market and enjoyed sweet corn on the cob and lush heirloom tomatoes. Liked having a parking space. Would recommend Brad’s place if you are looking for a place close to Downtown.

  • Good location and a pretty large space. There for Final Four and it worked great. Walked to and from the stadium and downtown events.

    Michael2019-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location on the edge of downtown Mpls. Very convenient to convention center. Responsive host with great communication. Spacious apartment. Paid laundry available. Really nice gym equipment and common spaces. They do have a coffee maker in the apartment now. Furnishings are basic with just enough kitchen wares and towels for 2 people. No extras here. A bit noisy as there is a garage door below the apartment. No a/c in bedroom, so we slept with windows open despite some nighttime noise. Overall a good stay with helpful host.

    Heather2019-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • There are some redeeming qualities to this place. The space is huge! Tons of closet space. They allow pets. There's a gym and club room area, which is cool. And, there's parking. These are all great things to have. It's hard for me to write this, because I've never given less than a 5 star review before, but, I take issue with the serious lack of really basic things... You pay for lots of closets, yet there were no hangers. You pay for a full kitchen, yet there's no pots / pans, nor a COFFEE MAKER. You pay for a TV, yet there's no remote, nor a cable or antenna hookup. So, it's useless. Missing lots of basic things that you need if you're going to be staying at a place for a few days or a week. (no bucket for ice maker, no bath mat or garbage in bathroom, no door mat for wet shoes, etc, etc.) While I wouldn't stay there again, it is a big, clean space near downtown with parking included. I'd recommend that anyone considering this place makes sure that the host has addressed all of these missing things before booking. Best of luck...

    Jeffrey2019-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very convenient place if you're in town for an event at the convention center or a game. It also comes with a parking spot which is nice if you have a car. The pictures are accurate and the place was very clean and spacious. Whoever was hosting (never met them in person) was also very accommodating and offered to get me an iron when I asked if there was one to use. They also let me check in a bit earlier which was great cause I flew in too early and had to haul luggage everywhere. My only gripe with the place was the wi-fi was very spotty. A few other reviews mentioned that there was a lack of basic things like coat hangers or pots/pans and although I didn't need those things, I did see them. Also someone mentioned the garage was loud, and yes it is pretty loud but I really only heard it in the morning and after work hours. Overall good value for the price and I would recommend it if you need to stay near downtown.

    Andrew2019-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great stylish space! Well worth the money. Great host

    Bryce2019-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay! The host's communication about check-in, the tv, etc. was great; the bed and couch were very comfortable; we had enough towels, blankets, and pillows; and the location is awesome. The only thing we wished we'd had was a coffee pot - otherwise we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

Paul Getty was actually born next door in 1892). Includes 1200 sq ft of refined living with 10ft ceilings and original Victorian woodwork. Amenities Include: Ikea Kitchen with two sinks, gas range, refrigerator w ice-maker, glass front cabinets for those that like to entertain. Formal Dining Room complete with built-in buffet from which to serve those gourmet meals. Long hallway offers a great gallery of local artists. Corner living room with original fireplace (non working) and mantle add a sophisticated elegance to lounge after that gourmet meal or night on the town. Bedrooms are comfortable with large closets and window treatments to control the otherwise bright daylight. Bathroom includes heated marble floors and a large white-tiled walk-in shower. In suite utility room includes full size Bosch High Efficiency front-loading washer and dryer. Back door landing complete with table and chairs to enjoy a balmy summer evening. Lots of little details that make this place a very unique and comfortable place to stay. Dedicated off Street parking directly behind the building included at no charge. Centrally located (Elliot Park) in Downtown Minneapolis. Walk to HCMC (1 block), US Bank Stadium (4 blocks), Light Rail Station (3.5 blocks), The Convention Center (7 blocks), Orpheum and State Theatre (9 blocks), Guthrie Theater (9 blocks) Nicollet Mall, The River (10 blocks), Target Field. Easy access to I94 and 35W.
The 9th St Historic District is located in East Town (Elliot Park) which is central Minneapolis that includes the US Bank Stadium. The area remains unique for being the only neighborhood in Minneapolis with a linkage of serial housing, featuring prominent local architects.During the mid-1880s, the young City of Minneapolis was booming.

It is amazingly furnished, perfectly located and a peaceful stay. the home has everything you could ever need and Michael was just as wonderful. Upon arrival, Michael met me outside and helped me with my bags. He then took the time to show me around the home. If you have a reason to go to Minneapolis, STAY HERE! : )

  • Michaels place is everything and more. I stayed here for 6wks and didn’t want to leave. The entire apartment is decorated impeccably. Very stylish and comfortable. There are a ton of linens, soaps, lotions, and cleaning products; everything you would need. The kitchen is so well stocked. You really feel like you are staying in someone’s home. The location is great for working downtown. We never had any issues, but when I reached out to Michael he would respond right away. I would absolutely stay there again.

  • Michael was a very attentive host, responding very quickly when we had any questions and kindly checking in with us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The location was perfect for our work trip to downtown Minneapolis, and the apartment was a charming place to unwind in the evenings. We really appreciated all of the little touches like the tea and coffee, Alexa, and nice decorations. I would highly recommend Michael's place.

  • I am a seasoned Airbnb traveler. I've stayed in Airbnbs in many cities in the U.S. and in about 5 different countries. My stay at this Stay Alfred apartment (Stay Alfred is a company, not a person) was the most disappointing I've experienced. Issues/complaints range from very minor (no salt/pepper, oil -- or anything basic for cooking), to major (a loud, vibrating base sounding disco-like noise that continued 24/7 from Sunday until we checked out on Thursday). A relatively complicated key retrieval and check in process was magnified by the fact that only one set of keys were provided. All of the above was made more aggravating by the responses we received when contacting Stay Alfred to request a second set of keys and to ask them to please figure out something to do about the incessant noise. The response: we'll look into it and get back to you in 24-48 hours. Given the cost of the airbnb (among the most expensive I've stayed in anywhere, but particularly expensive for the Minneapolis area) I expected far better service and amenities. I've rarely (I think only once before) ever written a poor review. I'm easy going and generally very flexible. This place is very spacious and clean and well-located. It might work for some but if you appreciate quiet (the AC is also very loud), want a more personal experience and quicker response to your needs/concerns, I wouldn't recommend this place.

  • I would recommend anyone to stay at this place. Very easy check-in and communication was great. The apartment was very clean and stylish! The location was perfect as well; right downtown and close to everything. If you had a car though, you would need to park it in a public garage/ramp as they did not have parking on site. Other than that, we had a great stay!

  • This place is even more gorgeous than the photos! If you have never been to Minneapolis, the sky walk and parking adds a layer of confusion so this place is a little more tricky to find. I called the management company and got a lot of help! They’ve got you. :) it’s just the price paid for a wonderful location / City view

  • Nice clean cute place! Nicole was quick and attentive! Studio was on 1st floor and nice window shades from public privacy, only wished would have been able to let some natural sunlight in without people from street seeing inside, but not a huge deal. We are from the suburbs and dont usually hear cars, traffic, sirens, or hearing people talking outside at night so that was all new to us. I was on a girls trip with my 25yo daughter and we felt safe in the studio.

  • Lovely space, very modern! Gorgeous roof deck for enjoying lovely Minneapolis evenings, complete with view of skyline! Loved exploring Minneapolis by bike as it’s very close to everything and still feels like a residential neighborhood. Would definitely return. Nicole is extremely easy to work with—very responsive and accommodating.

  • $800 nightmare. Worst Airbnb experience I have ever had. Apartment not clean. Host was late and smelling of alcohol. Half eaten subway sandwich left under bathroom sink. Handed the wrong key in check in so couldn’t lock apartment the first night. Tv didn’t work the entire time we were there. Constant issues with host. We booked for 3 nights but checked out after 2 due to our experience. Our complaints to Doing Right Rentals direct we’re ignored. There was no communication from them until after I had followed up 3 times. Even then their response was that I was welcome to check out early. Unbelievable!

  • Amazing Airbnb!

    Daisy2019-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My only issue with this stay was the parking situation. I met Abbas at a Starbucks and he was very polite and showed me the rental and the rental spot. He also gave me the parking pass at that time, but since I had to park to meet him I spent $7 for the twenty mins I was parked (Minneapolis gouges on parking). I parked in the new spot with the pass and got it fine. The rental was clean and comfortable. When I was ready to leave I texted if I should leave the parking pass and key in the rental when I left. I was told yes. I left them there, but when I left I couldn’t exit the parking structure. They wouldn’t allow me to leave and I had to get yelled at by several rude parking attendants over an intercom about “how did I have the pass if I didn’t live there.” They sent over a supervisor to come interrogate me about it, it took twenty minutes of being stuck in the parking garage. The supervisor kept telling me that I wasn’t allowed to park there and I couldn’t leave without the parking pass. I eventually got upset enough they let me out. I talked to Abbas and he didn’t know the name of the owner of the Airbnb. So I called and texted the number listed on the Airbnb and got NO response. Even hours later I still haven’t heard from them. I’m guessing this is an Airbnb that isn’t allowed to be run out of the apartments. All told I wouldn’t stay again as it took a lot of yelling from parking attendants at me, even though I followed all directions.

    Chris2019-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was conveniently located downtown so we could walk anywhere we needed to go. Brandon texted me the morning of our check in to discuss where to meet as I probably would have missed the building otherwise! Everything was clean and nice. It was a great space to come back and relax.

    Alyssa2019-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • It is a lot smaller in person, I feel there was barely any kitchen utensils. And not much room for people to gather in. We did have a good time though.

    Shantel2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • I have already recommended this Airbnb to family and friends! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting downtown! 18th floor beautiful penthouse view complete with all the comforts! Lovely 20th floor rooftop and party room amenities with a warm indoor pool and hot tub! Right on Marquette in the midst of the excitement of the city! One free indoor parking stall in the building as well.

  • Our weekend trip here was great. Host worked with me on checkin and the parking issue we had. They were very responsive and helpful. The place is a quick walk to the stadium. We had a wonderful weekend. Will stay here again on our next trip to MN.

You are sure to enjoy our classic, cool and eclectic downtown historic brownstone @ East Town Flats. We renovated our home with modern convenience matched with mid-century decor giving each space a sense of comfortable sophistication... Timeless yet fresh and universally appealing. Master bedroom with ensuite as well as a second bedroom and bathroom.
You will love the master bedroom with ensuite! Our full two Bedroom, two bathroom home is perfect for two couples, two singles or a small family who are venturing into downtown Minneapolis for a Vikings game or other US Stadium event as well as the many amazing venues within blocks away like Orchestra Hall, The Minneapolis Convention Center or the Guthrie Theater. This is also perfect for the business trip where you prefer a central location and want to enjoy a space to work and rest in between meetings.
The 9th St Historic District is located in East Town (Elliot Park) which is central Minneapolis that includes the US Bank Stadium. The area remains unique for being the only neighborhood in Minneapolis with a linkage of serial housing, featuring prominent local architects.During the mid-1880s, the young City of Minneapolis was booming.
  • This is a wonderful place that puts you right in the heart of downtown. You can easily walk to everything. The apartment itself is wonderful, clean, and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

    Michael2018-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed the cute apartment and it had everything we needed. It’s very comfortable and thoughtfully put together. I did find it helpful to have earplugs handy due to the noises outside that were audible in the bedroom while I was trying to sleep. The hosts provided great instructions before hand, and suggestions for restaurants etc., and were very easy to communicate with during our stay. We really loved the keyless pad for entry to the building and apartment. I would stay again.

    Lisa2019-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great location makes it easy to walk downtown and hop on the light rail.

    Anne2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time booking an Airbnb and it was great! More affordable than a hotel, and just as close to a train stop. Everything was clean and tidy and stylishly decorated. The bath towels were particularly soft, I even looked for a tag to get some for ourselves but didn't find it haha. We didn't have a lot of luggage so the stairs was ok, but there is no elevator. Loved that the host provided a long list of favorite restaurants and things to do close by, we loved Hells Kitchen! We'd definitely recommend and return.

    Joni2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • A great stay in a very stylish apartment in a good part of town. Excellent hosts.

    Simon2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • The space is lovely and exactly as described. Easy 10-15 walk to the convention center and ideally located near the downtown. Some of the best sleep I have had while traveling! The whole team was super responsive and made the whole visit super pleasant.

    Kristina2019-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. We booked for our technicians, they were very happy and they would like us to rent that place again for a future trip.

    Marie-Claude2019-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • This location was perfect for a group of four ladies! We were able to take Lyfts all around the city only minutes away. Mall of America was a quick 20 minute drive for us. The listing is accurate as listing city noises at night and possibly the neighbors, so if you’re a light sleeper this may be an issue. Everything was great and we appreciated all of the amenities and accommodations provided!

  • I had a similar experience to James' below, so definitely read his review as well. Overall I'm very disappointed in our experience. I'm a long time AirBnb customer and know what to expect, while my two guests had never used it before and probably won't ever again after this. The best way to describe this AirBnb property is "low-effort". Like others mentioned, the carpet is dirty and there are many places where the walls are scuffed and/or paint is peeling off (how hard are those things to touch up?). I can't be sure the place was cleaned between guests other than the sheets (and I only know those were clean because there were sheets being washed in the washing machine when I checked in - sorry next guest, your sheets sat in water for at least 4 days). Surfaces like the kitchen table were straight up dirty and sticky. We had to buy our own toilet paper because all there were only two half-rolls in the downstairs bathroom and none at all in the upstairs one. There was no soap/bodywash/shampoo/conditioner/kleenex except little bottles obviously left by other guests out of generosity. We brought our own towels based on other reviews which is something I'd rather not do on vacation. The place felt unwelcoming - I was let into the building by a friend of the host and not the host himself. There was no information about the apartment or the building at all when I got there (what is the wifi password, how to use appliances, how to let people into the building, what the pool hours are, what services are in the area etc. etc.). Looking at what I was charged for the 4th of July weekend vs. what is normally charged for this property, i was COMPLETELY ripped off. For those considering this place for next year- the fireworks shot off from the river are completely obscured by the surrounding buildings, although you can see all of the fireworks from surrounding towns since MN is completely flat. This wasn't a huge deal to us but just to note. The positives - the location is great (literally right next to the light rail stop) and the sheets are soft. Has decent air conditioning. Rooftop is nice. This is the first AirBnb I've stayed in where I would've preferred a hotel though.

Relax in our Mid-Century Modern, two bedroom apartment and enjoy the urban cityscape. Or, jump into the skyway and carouse through the indoor mall that snakes from building to building. With exposed brick, hardwood floors, tasteful design, fully equipped kitchen, and off street parking we hope you will love this space.
Guests have raved over our 2 Bedroom, Mid-Century, Modern apartment and I hope you will love it too. • I was in Minneapolis with a friend for a concert at First Avenue Theater. The location was perfect for us. Short Uber/Lyft rides to the concert, restaurants, bars, etc. Also lots of good food within walking distance. The space is very nicely done. Small touches were excellent as well... coffee maker, soaps, decor, artwork etc. Instant hot water, nice shower, comfortable beds and generally very quiet. Super convenient parking right behind the unit.

  • Our group of 4 stayed at Chris & Monica’s apartment for the Final Four championship game night and it served us very well. The location was within walking distance to US Bank Stadium and all the downtown nightlife. We had comfortable arrangements. The cherry on top was that Chris & Monica donated all their Airbnb revenue from the Final Four weekend (they manage multiple properties) to charity, which was awesome!

  • An excellent hostel! Easy access, courteous fellow travelers, top notch proximity to all the good action on the riverfront, very affordable; in addition Steve was an incredibly responsive host, everything was as clean as I'd hoped. Will certainly stay again whenever passing through Minneapolis!

  • Although I didn't have the chance to meet Steve, my stay in his hostel was great. The room, bed and washrooms were clean and in tip-top shape.

  • Booking: as easy as a few clicks Checking in: keypad is very easy to use for self check-in Space: this is a shared space so don’t expect privacy in the bedroom and common areas. Bed/linens: bed is comfy and I slept well despite someone snoring. If you are light sleepers, bring ear plugs. Locker: locker is quite huge. I believe you can fit a carry-on luggage inside. Breakfast/food: nice combination of fruits and cereals/bread Bathrooms: as clean as you can expect when many guests are in the same house. I like an extra toilet downstairs so you dont have to worry if you can’t hold while waiting for someone in the main bathroom. Host: I didn’t get to see Steve in person, but we communicated through airbnb app and he was responsive and accommodating. Overall, highly recommended for budget travelers who need a comfy bed to crash

It is well located close to the US Bank Stadium, where you can connect with the green and blue lines of the light rail. Blue lines is one to go to airport. Being able to do a self check-in and self check-out was pretty convenient, and I really appreciated the locker in order to go on Wild and Viking game with serene spirit. I recommended.

  • Great location for downtown access. Not much in ways of eating or entertainment close but easy access via bike rental or walking. Note there is essentially no parking at location due to street permits required. Weekday working hour arrival will make it very hard to find a parking spot. • We loved having coffee in the morning and an evening beer while sitting on the balcony. Bed and pillows are comfortable, shower is great. You won't be doing any gourmet cooking in the kitchen, but it's got everything 99% of people would need. Location was very practical for us, as first-timers to the city. We were able to get around by bike, scooter, and lyft/uber in all directions from downtown. We would stay again!
