Wonderful room in a fully renovated apartment located in a cool neighborhood. This room offers three queen size bed, a queen size, a closet with hangers, full size mirror and a night stand. It's a 5 min walk to the subway stop and 20 mins to Central Park, Times Square, Freedom Towers, and more. You have access to a shared kitchen and bathroom, which gets cleaned on a daily basis. Great for couples, friends and single people looking for a cheap place in Manhattan to rest their head and explore.
The apartment is fully renovated on the first floor of a prewar building with an elevator and a very cool neighborhood.
Guests have access to their room which features a queen size bed, that can sleep two and a queen size futon that can sleep two more. I also provide an airbed for the 5th perosn. The room offers plenty sunlight with a closet and a nightstand. The kitchen, bathroom and the living/dining room are shared with the other three bedrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for cooking and serving etc. It has a stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, refrigerator, plates, pots/pans etc. The bathroom is cleaned daily by myself or my cousin and we try to keep it as clean as possible. The fully renovated kitchen area has a table with chairs. This area is used for meeting myself or other Airbnb guests and to eat and relax after a long day in NYC. The entire apt is a relaxed environment.
I try my best to meet everyone but sometimes I'm busy working. However I'll be there in case you need anything.
The Neighborhood: Sugar Hill and Hamilton Heights have long been desirable neighborhoods. Hamilton Heights is named for Alexander Hamilton. Hamilton's country home, The Grange, was located on his estate just south of 145th Street. Today The Grange is part of the National Parks system and can be visited at the north end of St. Nicholas Park.
During the Harlem Renaissance, African Americans made their mark on NYC as they had never been permitted to do so before. And when they could afford it, they wanted to buy a brownstone up on the hill -- everything would be sweet then -- thus - Sugar Hill.
Right around the corner on 137th Street/City College Subway stop and subway lines which can take you in 15 minutes to Time Square, Central Park and Rockefeller Center. As well you are 25 minutes via subway to the Statue of Liberty and the newly built Freedom Towers (9/11 Memorial) . The subway runs 24 hours and is always a good option.
Please do not tell the neighbors or anyone you are there via Airbnb, you are just visiting friends . And do not open the door for anyone unless told to do so by me.
Myself or my cousin come around between 11am and 2pm to clean the apt so please be respectful. We don't clean your room daily but we do take care of the common area.
We offer the kitchen area or hallway where guests who want to drop off their bags before check in time or after check in time can do so, and go about the city. So if you have a late flight or travel plans you can enjoy your last day without carrying your bags around :)
